Just wanted to let you all know that I have posted the first 3 tracks from my new album here on myspace for your listening enjoyment.

The album is called "Dreamtalking" and will soon be available for purchase online via darrenlocke.net, cdbaby.com & iTunes. In the meantime, you can purchase a copy in person at a show or if you run into me in real life. There are 6 different versions of the packaging, all assembled by hand and each a little different!

I spent the better part of a year laboring over this project with my good friend Andrew Davis and we are proud to share it with you now.

Hey people!

I just wanted to post a little bloggy thing with some exciting new of mine.

I've been in the planning stages of a new full-length record for a few months now. After weighing all my options, I've decided that Detroit is the place to be for this thing.

So in about a month I'm heading back to the Motor City to record a new album at the fabulous White Room studio in Downtown Detroit and I couldn't be more excited. I get to work with some close friends and amazing musicians and I think that this is going to be a great record.

So for those of you who have supported me along the way, I thank you. I'll probably keep a running blog (maybe elsewhere if I get my website up and running soon) documenting my experience.

Just wanted to point out in a more conspicuous way that I am giving away two tracks here on myspace in honor of my first radio performance. Satellite, no less. I got to say fuck. It was great!

Come and download Just Don't Have & Carolina by clicking the little download link next the track info in the music player. Both of these versions are new and improved. Carolina is the mastered version straight from my EP, just like you'd buy in iTunes. Just Don't Have, which was recorded in my 'home studio', has extra vocal fun, more guitars and is re-mixed a bit.

So get them while they're free. Email them to your friends. Put them on Limewire. Whatever you want.

They'll be available for about a week, subject to change at my whim.

Thanks for anyone who tuned in intentionally or just caught me on Larry's show today. It was a great time and I'm hoping to go back sometime soon.

It's channel 109 on Sirius, which you can get for free online. 3-day trial, it's super easy to sign up for (the link is right on that page). And if you like it, just keep signing up with various email address. Not that I would suggest something so scandalous.

I'll be performing 2 songs - Just Don't Have, which you can hear on my page, one new one that seems to be going over quite well, and an old favorite. May have surprise accompaniment. May be solo.

Hi everyone...

Just wanted to point out that my EP, I'm Not Here, is now available in the iTunes Music Store and at CD Baby!

If you like immediate gratification, I'd say go for the iTunes download.

If you like packaging and are interested in an actual CD, go for the CD Baby link. The packaging is all hand silk-screened, and assembled by me. Each disc is written on by hand and all are slightly different.

So my CD release party is coming up... I'm sure you've all gotten my event invites, bulletins and such.

In case you haven't, though, it's this Saturday, the 16th. Festivities will start around 9 PM. Bring your own whatever you need.

Jennie Knaggs and Big Black Cloud will be playing. Most of these kids played on the record, so they'll be playing/singing with me, too. It should be a blast.

This has been some time in the making, and I'd love to see all of you there!
