First off, super thanks to everyone that came out to the Rumble last night for the finals and for the last 5 weeks to see all the bands.  None of us would have made it to the finals without you.  Can't thank you enough :)

Secondly a big shout out to all the other bands.  Next time you go out for a band look up where these guys are playing and check them out.  They're all great and the styles span the spectrum from rock & metal to blues & jazz to 80's & 90's you name it it was there.

Super Congrats to Orange Avenue for winning the Best Original band category.  Great guys and a great band.  Check 'em out.

Big props to Mai Tai and the staff, Beach 92fm, Rue and Ziffra, Backstage Pass and anyone I can't remember right now LOL.

If you missed us or want more check us out at Front Row on Oct. 9th & 10th and Caribbean Jack's Oct. 16th and 17th.

Peace out and thank you all!!!

Hmm, not sure who reads these, or this one in particular if anyone and it's been a while since the last one but hey! here's another one.   The 70's gig at Sunset Harbor was a blast!  We had a ton of fun with the costume contest and, of course, opening for Elvis was...what...a dream?  I mean, come on, Elvis?

On another note, 15 70's/Disco tunes to learn?  That was fun.  Well, it was fun to play them and you guys were great, the learning part not so much :)

Imagine the rehearsal: NO! It's da da dadadah dah da! Not dah dah dadada da dah!   hehe.

Or vocally: You're singing Doo Doo dooh not dooh dooh Doo!  ARGHH!!  That's MY LINE!  You're a third down!  LOL I'm so glad I'm not a singer.

Don't worry, no one was harmed in the preparation of this gig and Hunter, our mascot, is still friends and didn't bite anyone.

Hunter, the Finding Ivy mascot.

He's a cool dog.

Anyway, we'll be at Frank's Front Row on June 5th and 6th. Jenni's b-day is the 5th so try

to make that one if you can and by all means, if you like what you see, come see us again

on Sat. We never do the same show twice.

Well, we finally got our act together and got a new lead singer. Those of you who know us know that Jim has been working double duty as lead singer and drummer for the last, oh, I don't know, 5 years. Well, we now have Lauren on the main mic and I gotta say, it's a good thing. Not to take anything away from Jim, he's a great singer and a great drummer and always will be but with Lauren up front it just adds a new dimension and lets us move to another plateau in our musical evolution.

For one thing, we can add a few songs we've long wanted to do by No Doubt, Berlin, Fleetwood Mac and some other ska & swing stuff. We also want to take advantage of all that a female singer can offer; something not often seen these days.

Secondly: She brings a new group of influences and a fresh perspective to the band that's been a welcome addition. At the same time, we seem to be kindred spirits in so many ways. Musical tastes, movies, TV, politics it's almost creepy :).

Thirdly: She's a lot better looking than Jim...at least in my opinion.

Now, not to worry you die hard Jimmy fans, he'll still be vocalizing on some of our old standards like Date Rape, What Happened and Jump, Jive and Wail and will be adding backing vocals wherever needed.

So, come out, meet Lauren and have a hell of a time while you're at it.

See ya soon,
Finding Ivy
