BIOENGLISH :All hailing from different countries, the 5 members of The Elderberries
represent a new generation, for whom the cultural and geographic
borders have become considerably larger. Discovered in 2004 by record
labels Sophiane and NoPhono, the then 16 year olds already had as
influences John Bonham, Bon Scott, Roger Glover, Tony Iommi, and Alex
Lifeson! They were already different, as most kids their age were
getting into Bloc Part or Franz Ferdinand, catching the eye of
Musician/Producer Denis Clavaizole (Cocoon, Jean-Louis Murat, Alain
Bashung..), quickly evolving into a professional band, culminating in
the 2006 release of their first album, Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained,
applauded by the music media. "This album is HUGE" - Les Inrockuptibles
They followed the album with an 80-date tour
around France, and also secured a soundtrack deal for a major french
release. As if to go against the obvious, the band chose Steve Orchard
(Coldplay, Travis, U2), who wasn't nessecarily their first choice, to
work on mixing their next album, which will appear in early 2009. In
the meantime, their first single, "It Doesn't Really Matter" will be

Autant dire qu'ilspassent pour des extraterrestres, au moment où les jeunes de leurs âgesdécouvrent Bloc Party et Franz Ferdinand.
Déjà hors normes, le groupe, pris en charge par le musicien etproducteur Denis Clavaizole (Cocoon, Jean-Louis Murat, Alain Bashung…), évolue très rapidement et avecune facilité déconcertante tant au niveau des compositions, que desprestations scéniques ; Leur premier album, signé chez Discograph, sorten 2006 et reçoit un accueil unanime de la part des médias spécialisés.« Cet album est énorme » Les inrockuptibles
Ils entament alors une tournée de plus de 80 dates en France, et se voient confier la réalisation d'une bande originale de film.
Comme pour bousculer les règles, ils choisissent Steve Orchard,producteur et ingénieur du son de groupes aux univers éloignés(Coldplay, Travis, et autre U2) pour travailler sur leur nouvel album.Il paraîtra début 2009. En attendant, « It Doesn't Really Matter »premier extrait, sera disponible mi-novembre 2008.
