Hate Gallery, which feature current Warrior Soul members Rille Lundell and Janne Jarvis, will release their new six track E.P 'Dead Celebrities' on 23rd November.

The title track is a modern day fairytale about a 'fictional' amoral British celebrity who  epitomizes the Cult of Celebrity and who earns the disgust of a nation and it's media yet is considered a saint at the time of their untimely death.

"Were not pulling any punches with the title track and it's pretty easy to figure out who and what it's about." Says vocalist/bassist Janne Jarvis.

"We're sick of the cult of celebrity and appalled at the media saturation and Mooney-esque brainwashing that goes with it. Live like a pig, die like a saint?"

As well as celebrity culture, other tracks such as 'Liberation' dealk with the slow but steady destruction of freedom in modern society.

"The two subjects are closer together than you would think." Continues Jarvis.
"We obsess over and covet the banal, tedious excesses presented to us by the tabloids and choose to ignore what's really going on. The two are inextricably linked."

'Dead Celebrities' is a much needed wake up call and a celebration of telling the establishment to fuck off.

"They make us look the other way. Hopefully this is like pre-revolutionary France. It's only a matter of time before they drag them out of their houses and hang them in the streets. I won't be doing the hanging myself. I'll be watching it all on T.V. That's what it's all about, right?

Hate Gallery will release their second album "Viva La Resistance!' in Febuary 2010.

'Dead Celebrities' is that rare commodity: A truly modern rock record.
It's a collision of distorted bass lines and razor sharp guitars underpinning songs for the disaffected masses of the 21st Century.

'Dead Celebrities' was recorded in Stockholm and was produced by bassist/vocalist Janne Jarvis and mixed by Jarvis and Chris Rose, collectively known as Binary Audio, as a continuation of their latest collaboration on the latest Warrior soul album-of which half of Hate Gallery are members.

"It's passionate and relevant, particularly in a time when there aren't any great rock bands left. Rock'nRoll is meant to be irreverent and visceral. In the times we live in, that's definitely good for the soul. If you've still got one."

As single 'Dead Celebrity (Queen of the Damned)' will be available as a free download on Monday 26th October exclusively from this location:

Warrior Soul is cancelling all activities this year due to some major changes of plans that involve the  European release of ”Destroy The War Machine” - an updated and better version of the album with added tracks - and a major European tour to follow early 2010.
Our apologies to those hoping to come and see Warrior Soul in November, but we promise to come back stronger, louder and better than ever at the start of 2010. We're all extremely excited about what the future holds for all things Warrior Soul.

In the meantime, enjoy some Warrior Soul classics that have been uploaded onto our myspace site and check out the young and sickly talented Jason Heartless from Shram and his great video for “The Fourth Reich”, taken from the new album "Destroy The War Machine"

When the Winds of Change Can Be a Rockin Good Thing!

Report and Photos by Cathy "Nightcatt" Palmer. Artwork by Dave Andre.

TROUBLE, a Chicago based band, has been rockin’ the United Sates and parts of the world since 1979. Like many bands that have survived decades of music, TROUBLE has not been exempt from change. Changes in personal lives, artistic impression, approach to and attitudes towards their music and conducting band business can easily lead to the demise of a great band. But TROUBLE stood strong and survived.

TROUBLE has a fan base that is truer to their love for music than some people are to their own personal love relationships. Talk about loyalty! This was quite apparent when former lead singer Eric Wagner parted ways with the band. Of course, with a major change like that there were the usual hisses and grumblings from some fans, but that was expected.

The last time I travelled to see Kory Clarke play live turned out to be one of the most bizarre nights of my rock ‘n’ roll life. A poisonous mixture of bad equipment and small town mentality transformed a potentially great solo performance into a fucked up farce. My review of that night was removed from the website it was written for under threat of legal action and, subsequently, afforded my writing much more attention than it would normally have had – thank you very much, mouth breathers.

The prospect of seeing Kory back fronting the legendary Warrior Soul offered up an unusual question; would I finally get some closure on that fateful night or would we, once again, have to leave the getaway car outside, engine running?

FUCK THE PIGS

Trapped in the back of the cab, I got no time to lose
Got a cold one in my hand,  tell the driver the news
Security such a drag, always on my ass
Stripped me down and emptied my bag, I plead my innocence
He said: “Son, you’re to drunk to get on the plane”
Then the machine guns were put in my face
He said: “You’re to drunk to get on the plane”
Then the machine guns were in my face

Fuck the pigs

I gotta get out of  town, I’m sick of hanging around
Don’t got no more cash, no rash, no stash, no anti-crash
In Trouble going to Chicago, gotta fly again tomorrow
Hope the guns don’t stop me again, the eye in sky go dry to fly

Fuck the pigs

He said: “Son, you’re to drunk to get on the plane”
And the machine guns were put in my face
I said: “Officer, let me explain”
Then the machine guns were in my face

Fuck the pigs… I wanna go home!

I just wanted to relax, I forgot about the hippie tax
If you don’t look just like them, they love to bust and throw you in the slam
In Trouble going to Chicago, gotta fly again tomorrow
Hope the guns don’t stop me again, the eye in sky go dry to fly

 Fuck the pigs

He said: “Son, you’re to drunk to get on the plane”
I said: “Officer, let me explain...I’ve been in this condition since 1978”
Then the machine guns were back in my face

Fuck the pigs
Fuck the pigs
Fuck the pigs
Fuck the pigs
Fuck the pigs

Acetate Records will release WARRIOR SOUL's "Destroy The War Machine" through MVD Audio on July 14, 2009. The eight-song album, which was originally released last year under the title "Chinese Democracy", includes a cover of IGGY POP's "Knocking 'Em Down (In The City)". This time around, you won't hear any hidden meanings or agendas in the lyrics, controversial frontman Kory Clarke tells it like it is and calls a spade a fucking shovel. His ever-present vocals make the band unique and immediately identifiable. A full-scale tour of the United States and Europe will follow.

WARRIOR SOUL bassist Janne Jarvis previously stated about "Destroy The War Machine": "[This album] has everything a WARRIOR SOUL fan should expect from a WARRIOR SOUL record. It has an ear for an argument, puke on its shoes and remains untouched by trends or the long-arm of the corporations."

"Destroy The War Machine" track listing:

01. Fuck The Pigs
02. The Fourth Reich
03. Motor City
04. Don't Believe
05. Burning Bridges
06. Bad News (Rock 'n' Roll Boyfriend)
07. She's Glaswegian
08. Knocking 'Em Down (In The City)

Acetate Records will start pre-sales for the record on May 25.

WARRIOR SOUL's current lineup is as follows:

Kory Clarke - Vocals
Rille Lundell - Guitar
Johnny H - Guitar
Janne Jarvis - Bass
Billy Williams - Drums
