The time has finally come today to vote!

It's that time of year again! The border war continues next week with thee Ohio State Buckeyes defending their turf against Michigan.

That means it's time for the Retro Radio Rock & Roll Battle of the States, featuring Ohio bands and Michigan bands from the 1960s!

This year, the unknown underdogs come out to jam with some of the greats like the James Gang, The Amboys Dukes, The Outsiders, MC5, Damnation of Adam Blessing, The Rationals, The McCoys, Bob Seger & The Last Heard, and many many surprises this year, along with records that will be spun for the first time on Retro Radio!

There will also be a special Retro Radio fun fact feature that pays tribute to the official Rock & Roll song of the State of Ohio. Do you know what it is? Starting this Saturday, November 15, Retro Radio will present the "Sunday Oldies Jukebox" with Rockin' Rick and Guy Z!

"Sunday Oldies Jukebox" aired on 88.9-FM WSTB in Streetsboro, Ohio until a few weeks ago when the school district raided the studios, and removed all of the computers. It's a messy situation down there at the moment, and you can read all about the mess at www.sundayoldiesjukebox.com

The staff of WSTB and their listeners are hoping to have the station back on the air soon. Until then, WJCU and Retro Radio will present the Sunday Oldies Jukebox on Saturdays 4:30-6:30pm on 88.7 WJCU and world wide on the web at wjcu.org!

Retro Radio will feature the WKYC Sound 11 survey from Nov. 1 1965 on Saturday's show. Additionally, I'll be playing the WIXY triple play requests and the other requests I did not get to on last week's show.

It has been brought to my attention that WSTB has been taken off the air. WSTB is home to Sunday Oldies Jukebox every Sunday, until today because they are off the air for the first time in ten years.

WSTB is located in Streetsboro, Ohio and broadcasts from Streetsboro High School. The school district holds the FCC license and took the station off the air by removing numerous computers to obtain "evidence."

According to Guy Z's editorial, it appears that the "evidence" is merely a picture of an underage student at a new years eve party, but the picture shows alcoholic beverages, although the student involved is not holding or drinking in the picture.

Please support WSTB! I've meet numerous DJs, students, and other volunteers at WSTB and, just like everyone at WJCU, they love what they do and care so very much about their station and their listeners.
