We are truly sorry for being so behind on our responses to Myspace. We have been really bad about checking stuff. If you want to chat with me or have anything to tell us or ask us please email us at pinkmochimusic@aol.com. We are really working hard on the album. Lisa is going on tour with a band she plays keyboards in called Sea Wolf. Please support their brand new record. Hope you are all doing well and please feel free to chat with us! We miss playing live so much.

Its really annoying that our inboxes get so filled with spam and crappy bands and singers that just want friends. I wish myspace had better preference settings so I don't get overloaded with all this junk mail. Okay I'm done whining.
Pink Mochi has been M.I.A. because we have been recording our album. I'm not sure when it will be done but we are working on it!
Keep you updated.

I am currently fascinated with the idea that maybe a lot of my interests are merely genetic. What I mean by this is, many of you may know me as a cannibal but I recently found this article on the internet which made me realize that it might be something that is genetically instilled in me. I don't know check it out. Maybe I'm not a Cannibal, I'm just Japanese. I don't know, does this make any sense?

May 30th Friday, 8pm-2am VERDUGO BAR 3408 Verdugo Rd Glassel Park 90065
Yello Magic Arkestra
DJs:
Daniel The Electric Lion (www.NihilisticPop.com)When you mix the Germanic and the Afro-Semitic you get the Electric Lion. His Euro parents (mom from Musicland, Bavaria) met in Israel and he was born in Jamaica…Queens. A youth misspent on all things Casablanca (Neil not Humphrey, like Kiss, P-Funk, and Giorgio) and Warhola (as in international art-scene/sub-culture sleaze), his fascination with Nagel looking Valley Girls, Aaron Spelling programming, and Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park prompted the Exodus to Magic Mountain, California, where he resided in a secret sleeper underneath Cal Arts' Mod Theatre. Daniel the Electric Lion's Diaspora Disco brings the space-funk, cosmic/not-disco, giallo-italo, avant-glam, and much more more more Moroder!
Ai-Ball (www.myspace.com/Pinkmochi)- In the 1970's Yuko Chino started a cult that is known now as the Chino Shoho (Panawave Laboratories). Little do people know that she had a daughter that was to be the next leader in saving the world from electromagnetic waves. Ai will be the first to start the Chino Shoho cult in the U.S. making this cult international by playing frequencies ranging from 20-20KHz. You may find Ai roving around the San Fernando Valley driving a white van dressed in all white avoiding the electromagnetic waves playing records.
Worlock (www.myspace.com/tvspookshow) Worlock is a Count from Transylvania who has been intercepting transmissions of music from the 1950s,60s, & 70s on a short wave radio for the last 100 years. After developing his own recording apparatus he has been able to capture and share his music with citizen of california.
And so Yuko Chino's only daughter was smuggled into the States, growing up in the anonymity of Suburbia USA (aka The Valley). Several nights after discovering her genetic legacy, Ai-Ball was watching Night of the Comet on the USA channel and it occurred to her: Doomsday was indeed coming!, Not by sky, but from a map- changing earthquake brought on by the deadly levels of electromagnetic waves that permeated the city's endless and dystopic grid. This time wearing white would not be enough. Far more complicated than just saving a seal, she summoned her friends Daniel the Electric Lion and Worlock to help her build the Yello Magic Arkestra - a vessel capable of transporting, thus saving, the Valley itself.

Sorry its been so long. There have been many of Tim-isms during our rehearsals I just didn't have time to post them. Here is the first of many to come.
Awhile back I was telling a story about the time I went to Idyllwild drank whisky and sat in a hot tub and blacked out. Though the drinking in the hot tub helped the situation I was explaining to the rest of my mochis that I blacked out due to the high altitude. This is the first time I ever blacked out.
Timism plays into the story because as I was explaining the story
Tim: "oh you mean the Ol' Denver Blackout" Ai: "What do you mean" Tim: "you know the mile high city"
So I guess whenever you get drunk and you blackout from the high altitude its called "The Denver Blackout". Try to use it in a sentence and when people say what does that mean you should say " you know the mile high city". Just like Tim!

This Sunday I am hosting an event titled Shark Aid 2008 at Tangier to help my good friend Aaron Finley. Here is a little bit about the event. Pink Mochi will be playing a set in honor of our friend.
In 2006 there were 61 shark attacks in the entire world. Some say being attacked may be lucky because of the rarity of shark attacks. LA Local musician/ sound engineer Aaron Finley was one of lucky ones to be munched on by a shark this past October. The shark took a big bite out of his leg. Aaron was fortunate to come out of this alive with all his limbs. However he now has a medical cost that he cannot charge to the attacker. Please join the cause to raise money for the "Friends of Aaron Finley Fund".
Performing Live:
Patrick Park Charlie Wadhams Pink Mochi and More....
Starts at 7pm Tangier 2138 Hillhurst Ave Los Angeles, CA 90027 http://www.foldsilverlake.com/framesdirections.html
See you this weekend,
Ai

Happy New Year! Its the year of the Mochi! I think every year is the year of the Mochi. Did anyone see any good movies over the holiday? I finally got around to seeing "Superbad" which was hilarious. I saw "Juno" and found the dialogue to be a bit annoying. I don't have time for many films but which ones are a must see? I wanna see Sweeney Todd.
