Current mood:  happy
Category: Life
So..., after all my bitching and moaning, I am happy. For the first time in a long time I can say I am pretty content with my life and where it is going. Like everyone else I still have those issues, like family, that have to be dealt with, but for the most part I am happy. I realize that I have so many friends in so many places that love me and support me no matter what I do and I would not be the person that I am without them. My parents despite the fact that they are going through a hard time still support me and want that best for me, that's all I can really ask for. My boyfriend helps me to meet my goals day and day out despite my laziness. Steve has taught me so much about myself and the trials that come with life and somewhat of growing up (which I'll never do, because I always want to be a kid) mainly the fun part about growing up and dealing with things. And never goes without saying that he is always there to support me and to make me smile. So all in all my life has been pretty good since I made some big changes, so I guess I'm doing something right. :o)

Ok..., This past weekend will go down in the books! Thanks to Stacy, Jared, Dan, Nattie and Steve this Tahoe weekend was sooo awesome! 5 days and 4 nights of constant fun. Thursday Nattie, Jared, Stacy, Dan and I got into the cabin around 1-1:30am. We immediately tear open the 18 pack and jump in the jacuzzi for a little relaxation after driving and unloading. We get up the next morning so we can get situated. Dan and I head to the store to feed all of the troops. The grocery bill for 5 days for 6 people is $325, including booze, good job Dan! After we get home festivities are already underway. We unload the food and 105 beers, 1.75 liter bottle of Jager, 5 bottles of champagne and join in the hot tub. Later Steve joins our ranks and we head to the club in Harrah's. In the club we are treated like kings and queens due to my wonderful boyfriend who buys a bottle and a table. The rest of the night needless to say was awesome, with memorable moments and some fuzzy ones as well. We cab home. Everyone crashes (after a while :o) ) Next morning Steve and I are up early getting our rentals for skiing. Get home and everyone is finally up, but not ready to leave. So Steve and I head to the slopes about 11:30am. We get some runs in up at the top while is snows. We stop for lunch to nurse a hang over and empty stomach. Nattie and Dan meet up with us. And bless their hearts trying their best on the slopes with snowboards. After a couple of falls that leaves the boys a little maimed and Nattie a little bruised we head home and just in the hot tub. After a little relaxation and couple of beers to numb the pain we head to dinner at the birthday girl's choice 19 in Harvey's. Dinner was amazing by everyone's standards, no one went home wanting anything other than what they ordered. Absolutely amazing food. The bill was a little bit of a shock, but we coughed it up, because it was sooo good. Then we went to the gambling floor to try our luck. At the end the night only a couple of us were lucky. Birthday girl won a $100 chip and dancing around (see film loop). After a little of picking up spirits we headed home for some sleep. The next day was dedicated to chillin in the hot tub. Jared and I start the food for the bar-b-que after searching all over town for a propane refill station. We eat and Steve has to leave to get home for dinner in the morning. At the first sign of the weekend coming to a close and beer getting low we charge head on into the Jager. With several games of Asshole and various changes of presidents we are D-R-U-K.., I mean H-O-U-S-E-D! (Go Nattie!) The next day we pack up, clean up (one beer and a shot of jager left) and sadly head home. BUT WHAT AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!!

So.., it is done. I am offically a storage unit renting homeless person. On the up side I am now over in San Jose perminately; or at least for a while; I am finishing up my last couple of days at my steady job I've had for 3 years. As of the first I have no home and no job.., yes! I am on my way! But seriously.., I would never be able to do what I am doing or have done without the support from my friends.., thank you Dan and Stacy for allowing me to have the floor. And Dan especially for helping me move. You were the only one and I greatly appreciate that. I guess all that is coming up is completely unknown and I'll have to take it as it comes. But main goal right now.., make all the money I can and pay the bills that are already here. And then in a week possibly go home and beg for more money. Here's to the unknown.

It is that time of year once again. I always remember what I am doing on Christmas and that is when it hits me that another year has gone by. Maybe it hits me on Christmas and not New Year's because I usually can't remember New Year's. Except last year.., I was taking care of a friend in the first minutes of 2006. This year has brought a lot of change with it. Graduation, moving, Bermuda, Las Vegas (the best Vegas trip probably for the rest of my life) and now with the new year moving back to San Jose to take the giant step I should have taken in June. Now I feel as though I am on the right track and have a better attitude. I have also take this chance to remember all the memories that I have made with each and every one of my friends. I could not have done half of what I did this year without them. I'm hoping that 2007 is a year of more growth and bigger promises.

Ok.., here is what is going on with me. I have a possibility of three ideas. 1) Moving home to southern cali and start assisting from a fresh start and loosing my network of photographers, being close to family and moving in with two of my best friends. 2) Stay in Nor Cal and continue working with the network of photographers I have and move back over to San Jose and quit my full time job. 3) Stay at my full time job, but still move over the hill to be more acessable to my network and commute. OR do nothing at all.

Current mood:  blah
We are in Bermuda and it is 1pm Bermudian time and it is over cast with a storm rolling in, we were suppose to do our big fire gig tonight, but due to weather they have decided to save money and cancel it. So we are leaving Bermuda without our big gig going off, we are a little disappointed. But on the other hand Denny our host seems to be doing better. Last night we burned a fabricated man out of lava cake for the burners with 151 as our fuel. So we will be home tomorrow. I'll miss bermuda!

Well.., in 48 short hours I will be in Bermuda, I cannot wait! Everything has been so hectic and crazy I am excited to get away for a while and come back and be refreshed enough to be the Katie that everyone knows and loves. I have to find film! I don't know why, but Erin feels that she needs to be to the airport 3 hours before hand which gives me very little time to get my ass up to Palo Alto to buy again the flash equipment that is now arriving a day later than expected and film. And I am not very excited about traveling for 12 hours straight, I guess welcome back to European traveling where you sleep anywhere you can. See how negative I am, I need a vacation! Yeah for Bermuda and the caves here I come!
