I bought this new in Japan, it quickly became my favorite guitar on earth and has had minor modifications over the last 12 years to suit my tastes and style.

It is becoming more of a R0 (1960 Reissue) clone as it has a slimmer neck than the 59 profile and the finish just looks more 1960 to me.

I have added reflector knobs, better pickups, and soon double ring Klusons.
I am also designing a new wiring harness for it as well.

I finally decided to break down and create a MySpace and blog as well, so the idea I have for this blog is my totally random sometimes arrogant highly opinionated views of things.

First thing is my favorite online Forum- the coolest site related to my favorite guitar has to be MyLesPaul.com the most technically informative and friendly site in the universe, there are other more grandiose sites dedicated to the LP, but I hate snobs.

Thoughts on Epiphone Les Pauls- years ago I was one of the Gibson snobs, nothing else was worthy of the Les Paul logo, but I actually tried Epiphone and Orville by Gibson LP's and had a moment of clarity- there are some great guitars being made that are Les Pauls.  With the right modifications to electronics, pickups and hardware they stand up well to travel and serious use.  Beginning guitarists are better served by getting the best gear they can afford, and these guitars are absolutely some of the best starting points.

That's all for now, I need to record some sound clips to post.
