November 15, 2009 - Sunday
I'm rubbing the sleep out of my eyes after a looooong drive home from Mansfield last night.  Thanks to 9th Wave and the Crustaceans for playing a killer show with us, to the Stonewall Tavern for hosting us, to everyone who showed up to get down with us, and to the Blue Stingrays for keeping me awake along the way!

We're just off a fun little stint of jobs -- the Space, Two Boots, Stonewall, and our interview on WYBC -- where we've debuted some of our new material.  "Fat Rats," "Cooper," and a scorching cover of "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" were well-received.  Next, we buckle down for a few more weeks until our show at Cafe Nine on December 3.  Then, we sequester ourselves in the studio for the long dark winter to finish up the next album.  The original idea of a 3-EP collection may have fallen by the wayside.  It could be cool, but looks like a full-length album is more likely at this point.  Same songs, inspired by pulp stories, comic books, and films, so we'll still have some great art.

So if you're in the New Haven area, come check us out at Cafe Nine with the Clams on December 3, and hopefully watch for the next CD early next year.

Peace,
Tim

Doods,
From the North Shores of New Haven, Hamden, Cheshire, and Stamford, the North Shore Troubadours have a most excellent announcement. We have emerged from the dank recesses of the recording studio just in time to perform a duo of bodacious shows.  And they will be most bodacious, indeed.  Join us on Wednesday 28th at The Space in Hamden and on Thursday 29th at Two Boots in Bridgeport for two spectacular spectaculars.
Always wanted to see a pig corpse play the sax? Timbo in form-fitting vinyl pants? Joe "the Joker" Hero getting freak McNasty? Randy Randy live up to his name? Ever wanted to see Sachmo play the drums, without arms? Then Thursday the 29th may be your one and only chance!
Details for these shows and more on our Home Myspace Page.

And check out this totally rad piece of near-pornographic 1950's kitch! Come to Two Boots on Thursday the 29th for sexy witches galore.

Come out and celebrate the erstwhile Christian ghouliday (OH yeah!) with the most un-bogue surf rock band, the North Shore Troubadours!
Oh yeah, and our demo in COMPACT DISK FORMAT will be for sale -- only $5 to be transported to the Troubadours dimension again and again to your hearts content.  Feel the music enter deep into your brain stem, and the brain stem of your siamese twin.  See below...

Thanks to everyone who came out and stayed out at Otto's Shrunken Head on Saturday! What an amazing show! The crowd was giving off such a positive vibe, giving us the best welcome to the world of NYC gigging.

Make sure to check out the video of "No Bien" recorded at the show by Unsteady Freddie, the master maestro of surf shows.

Also stay tuned as an album is on the way!
