Current mood: cheerful
Recording went well, crazy well in fact. With all the layers and changes and crazyness we now need a female keyboard player. Our songs are littered with space
for some brilliant keyboard lines and Leah is getting a little
bored being the only female in the band
We are looking for someone who is passionate, wants to play many gigs and most importantly have fun.
If this sounds like you shoot us an email and we'll send you out a demo disc of the new stuff.

Wow what a long day. Today was guitar day and despite Tony's bravado that "oh my guitar will only take a couple of hours..." well f me if it didn't take closer to 8 hours. You have no idea how exahusting and boring it is to listen to guitar played over and over all day. I'm looking to forward to some sleep. Today was probably the first day in the whole process that has been a chore rather than an out and out blast. Thankfully it is all done with, with a few nice adds and saves by Stuart Lucky for most of us we have a day off tomrrow so we can rest. Sadly though I am going to have to spend the day working through all types of lyrical changes. Actually I can't lie it will be great fun. They music really has come along way and i'm excited to get the lyrics to the same level. Have fun and sleep well. Bryn

Current mood: imaginative
The bass is all done. Yaya. I'm just going to sit back and do nothing for the next week. Ha ha not quite. Most of the lyrics are to be re-written so that will keep me plenty busy. I don't eny Leah having to learn so many new lyrics, actually I do as I can't sing two notes together that land in the same key so she has that up on me. It isn't all recording and rock and roll up here. To celebrate finishing all my bass parts i got to watch my first episode of neighbours in about 4 years and a dog died in it. That really wasn't much of a celebration at all and also really what is the go with the biggest loser. I didn't know you could pump so much "drama" into weight loss. I was schooled.
Tomorrow is guitars, lyrics writing and practicing all the new vocal melodies. A very busy day. Though we do get Saturday off so that should be fun. Gold Coast for the day? Maybe.
Have fun.
Bryn

Well after finishing most of the writing yesterday, we had a few little re-writes this moring, well more like add ons to parts to make it all and all a bit more interesting. Then came the arrangements. Bridge here or an extra chorus here. Why do we end that verse here, why do we have that riff there. Do we need a kids choir here, well that was me and the answer is always of course you do, well except for today and did you know there can be such a thing as to much cowbell in a song. Yes I didn't think so either but today I was schooled. It was actually a pretty fun day trying out all sorts of ideas with nothing, aside from the to much cowbell, off limits. Slap bass also was looked upon with a certain level of distaste and probably for pretty good reason. Tomorrow is drums and bass. It should be fun.

Current mood: creative
Well it looks like today we have finally nailed down the music for each part of each of the songs. After being told to get rid of every chorus of every song and start again it has been fun. Well maybe not every chorus but pretty close. To be honest some of the new parts have suprised us a little bit as we probably didn't know we had that in us. Much better. "Wonderful Life" has a new pre chorus and chorus, "Man With The Funny Talk" well what we thought was the chorus is now the pre chorus and we have this whole crazy other thing in stead. "Got A Gun" got crazier and cooler at the same time, though it appears their is resistance to my whole epic piano ending idea. "Mr Self Love" new chorus. In fact the only one that has remained some what intact is "iPhone" which only needed a new bridge about living life on a bicycle. Was funny if you where here. Tommorrow we start laying down the parts and i have to come up with a bucket load of new lyrics. Appartently some laziness has slipped into my lyric writing and they are not as strong as they could be. Thats going to be fun. It's actually been a pretty sweet ride so far. Have fun Bryn

Current mood: busy
Ah the first of 12 days of recording.
Today we went through the final songs we have been narrowing it down to, from the 120 to 60 to 40 to 13 and now down to the final 6. Out of the final six songs we've cut bits out, added new bits and identified areas that each song needs to improve. Apparently writing catchy verses isn't a problem but big chourses, well that is another thing. Probably should listen to more stadium rock.
Tonight will be writing, re-writing, changing more and then we'll see if it all fits together. It's been a pretty exciting day for us, writing songs always is, but it probably sound so much for anyone else.
Highlight was Qantas losing Leah's bright pink case on her flight up and the fantastic qantas boxer shorts they gave her. We will be fighting over those. The living is pretty sweet with a pool, own kitchen and bathroom and some very soft beds. Promise we'll put some photos up.
Have Fun
Bryn

Current mood: jolly
Well that is a good question and really there isn't a great answer. It's funny. We’ve taken the best of what we know from doing stop animation lego and then added ourselves into this crazy lego world. Real life meets legoland. Now some might say that watching our new clip will probably scar you for life and yes there is one scene we were going to blur but didn’t but overall we are very excited to present: “Sorry Is The Hardest Word” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNNH6ipwvnAThe story begins with us being in lego jail, trapped and playing for our lives. Then the flash backs begin, revealing how each of us ended up in jail. Why is Ryan being beaten up by lego men? Why does Tony love icing sugar? Why is there a man in a g string running down a lego street? All this is revealed and more, well thankfully not much more. It actually looks like it could be a proper video clip rather than just a series of bizarre stories set to music as the case normal is with us. We had great fun making it so hopefully you’ll enjoy watching it.

To complete the lego circle of life we present: “Lego Wars 3 – Return Of The Rod” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ti1KofsVW8Yes we went a little crazy with special effects, they do get addictive, but it is return to what we do best with lego. Have them fight and have them make love. All very funny. One of our enlightened flat-mates pointed out that it contains the deep social commentary that "during war the poor get killed and the rich do what they like". Not so sure that it is that deep. Hope you enjoyed the trilogy.
