Sparklehorse will be doing a proper US tour for the first time in five years this February with Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter. Sparklehorse released their fourth LP, Dreamt for Lightyears in the Belly of a Mountain (Astralwerks), in the fall of 2006. The album includes contributions from Danger Mouse, Steven Drozd from The Flaming Lips and a previously unreleased track with Tom Waits.
Like, Love, Lust & The Open Halls of the Soul, the third full length from Seattle's Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, will be released on February 6th, 2007.
Produced and recorded by Tucker Martine (Decemberists) and Martin Feveyear (Kings of Leon) with additional recording and production by Randall Dunn (sunn 0)))), the record has a timeless quality. It could easily be a lost gem, cut by Crazy Horse between takes with Neil. Yet it also finds Jesse and the band exploring new sounds, hinted at by her recent collaboration with Boris and Sunn0))), with a confident ease.
