Check out the new mp3 website from Mental Monkey:

http://secretmixtape.com/

Secret Mix Tape is an ongoing compilation curated by Mental Monkey Records. Every week on the Secret Mix Tape website, we will be offering listeners a new Single of The Week for free download. The Single Of The Week will focus upcoming artists in genres such as electro pop, indie pop, experimental soundscapes, acoustic song writers, home recordings, alternative versions of album tracks, and bumpin' remixes. We will be reaching out to bands across the US and hopefully across the world.

These tracks will be new and exclusive to Mental Monkey Records, giving listeners a chance to hear some of the amazing new songs that haven't surfaced yet on blogs and radio. After offering a new single for a week of free download, the song will be added to the Secret Mix Tape and will be available on virutally every internet pay site in the universe. The compilation will be released in segments (ie: Secret MixTape Cassette I, Secret MixTape Cassette II etc...) to give us the opportunity to continue to add on to this amazing service. For our listeners, we encourage you to start collecting these tracks now and download the new track each week.

A list of upcoming tracks will be posted on the front page of the site and you can always look at our archives to see what tracks are currently being sold on I-tunes and Rhapsody. You'll be rewarded with hard to find songs by some of your favorite bands and will be able to learn about upcoming bands before anyone else. This website will arm you with all the songs that you'll need to make an amazing mix tape for your friends.

Also, we encourage young artists to submit tracks. Our next submissions deadline will be June 1, when we will expand the calendar to show the next batch of singles to be released. By creating a series of materials deadlines, we are able to release this music in a quick fashion (allowing listeners to hear new songs fresh off the mixing board. We split 50% of all earnings with the artists and will actively search for licensing opportunities to help each artists make the most of their submissions.
