It has been brought to our attention that AMEN have been advertised as a confirmed band performing a festival in Oxfordshire on August 16. Any advertisement for a performance that does not come directly from the band (via it's website, or official myspace page) should not be taken as fact. In the event that AMEN do confirm any dates, you will hear it directly from the band. AMEN is currently in the studio mixing their as yet untitled new album. Stay tuned to dieorfollow.com and myspace.com/refuseamen for updates.

Heads Up To The Brigade
I’m looking forward to going into the studio this weekend with longtime friend Franz Stahl (formerly of Foo Fighters, as well as Dischord Records legends Scream) and working on some material with him. He is a great friend and someone that I have always been a fan of.
As far as the new record goes, even though it has been the longest period between AMEN records, I needed to take a break. But at the same time, I’ve recorded an abundance of new material for the band. I’ve also had the privilege to take time out to; record the Scum album (which has just been re-pressed on vinyl through Candlelight), the GrindhallerXXX album (which will be coming out this year), have worked with (and am still working with) Rikk Agnew, as well as singing for Rat Scabies & Brian James’s 30th anniversary of the Damned’s Legendary 100 club gig in London, of which a live CD & DVD is awaiting release. Not to forget being asked by Henry Rollins himself to perform on his T.V. show amongst Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Queens Of The Stone Age, Mars Volta, Shane MacGowen, Joan Jett, Peaches and many others. Hopefully working with all of these truly inspiring + influential people has contributed to all the work I’ve put into the new AMEN album. Things have been anything but quiet.
And finally some of you may have heard rumours of us playing SXSW in Texas. Unfortunately the secret unannounced show we wanted to play will not be possible as time wont permit. So with emails of people flying from the U.K. and driving from Kentucky, we want you to know what’s happening. The show is still going on, brought to you by the good people at Dead City Records. Electric Frankenstein, as well as a host of others, will be kickin’ out the jams.. so support the scene at the Ale House, around the corner from Emo’s.
In closing, we are finally in the early stages of putting together AMEN’S RETURN to Australia! Our first time back since we played the Big Day out festival. Thanks again to all of you who are still here destroying rock n roll....................."

America's world renowned Hit Parader magazine voted Chaos 53 out of the 100 top vocalists of all time!! Placed right next to Tom Warrior, Josh Homme and Ian Mackaye, it doesn't seem like he could be in any better company.

It is with regret that we must announce the passing of John Tumour Fahrkenstock's grandmother. As a result, John has flown home today to fulfill his funeral obligation and carry his grandmother's casket in the ceremony. The funeral is to be held in his homestate of Pennsylvania.
AMEN has overcome many obstacles to arrive in the UK for this tour, most of those have been, unfortunately, deaths. In addition to Tumour's grandmother, Casey's father passed during this tour as well as one of his best friends, Paul Raven. Casey was unable to attend either funeral.
Due to this circumstance, AMEN is unable to continue the remaining dates of the tour in respect of Tumour's wishes. AMEN had a lovely time on this secret "small clubs, no barriers, Raven R.I.P." tour and as you have seen, AMEN are back and will continue to come back as long as you, The Brigade, are there to welcome them. We enjoyed seeing every one of you this time around and we hope to see you again next year in support of the new AMEN album....Until then, destroy rock and roll....

Casey Chaos comments on the passing of Paul Raven, the man that discovered AMEN…… ________________________________
Paul Raven was someone I looked up to as a child, for his music, his unique style, inspiration, and I was fortunate enough to call him one of my best friends over the last 10 years. If not for Paul Raven, AMEN would probably not even exist. Paul was the first person to put his money where is mouth was and produce the first AMEN album, and even take AMEN out on tour to open for KILLING JOKE in America in 2004.
To commemorate Paul's life, Amen will be dedicating our Halloween appearance at London's Underworld, tonight (Wednesday 31st) and the remaining dates of our impromptu UK tour, to him, in celebration of a punk legend
In Pauls giving spirit, we would like to announce that the first 99 people through the door at the Underworld, will be admitted for FREE, to witness a once in a lifetime celebration of a life unparralled.
AMEN would like to sincerely send our best wishes to his loved ones, friends, family, and to the fans who will never hear any else who could play bass like Paul Raven, for he will be truly missed by all, whether you know it or not.
