my birthday is wednesday, march 11th. i doubt i'm doing anything on that day but i am going to go out on saturday. i'm not good at planning interesting ways to celebrate so i think i'm just going to settle on hanging out at dave and buster's. so if you want to meet me there around 830pm on the 14th and buy me a drink that'd be cool. we can shoot zombies and ride motorcycles and collect tickets for cheap prizes. it'll be fun. hope to see you there. =)

the last time i wrote in this thing was back in july. wow.

i'm trying to think of interesting things to say but i can't really come up with much. i had a great christmas. i got off work an hour early on christmas eve and am on vacation until january 5th. i spent christmas eve at sean's with his family and he came over christmas day to spend it with mine. i got to hear funny stories of his childhood from his mom at his house and we shared the 'kid's table' with maggie and austin at dinner at my house. it was nice. i got a lot of neat gifts and ate a bunch of good food.

it's hard to believe the year is almost over. i'm trying to remember what i did last year for new year's eve... i think i was sick that whole week. tomorrow i am heading to springfield for the rest of the week. i'm crashing on maggie's uncomfortable couch and will likely wake up with a pug, boston terrier or calico cat sleeping on my neck at some point. it's a good thing i love her pets. sean and i are going to get korean food again while we are there. i've been craving it for months. he's got a show saturday with the heat machine at the outland that i'm really looking forward to. if you're in springfield this weekend you should definitely check it out.

it's late and i should be asleep. i have a long drive tomorrow morning. here's to hoping i can get an early start!

i'm going to springfield this weekend. if you're there you should check out the show at the outland saturday night: the magnificents, the heat machine, the queen city saints and brutally frank. half the bands say it starts at 8pm and the other half say 9pm, so yeah. show up somewhere around then and prepare yourself to have your socks rocked off. kthxbye.

i heard about these sites the other day and randomly decided to try searching them to see what i came up with. you just type a name in and it brings up an estimated amount of what is there and the person's last known address. i only found a $1-$5 listing on the missouri site under my name but my parents have like $50 listed there. i started typing in other names of people i know such as neighbors, friends, their parents, etc. alot of them came up with addresses that i know they have lived at before so i'm sure the unclaimed property is likely theirs. it does not appear that there is any kind of fee for claiming this on the missouri site but i do not know for sure about the other ones. it's worth checking out if you have time though.

i downloaded aim again. had to make a new sn because i couldn't remember the passwords to my old ones and the forgot password link must be connected to some old email because it didn't work. so yeah. i have almost no one's names from my old buddy list so holler at me with yours and i'll add it. new one is 'archeon empress'. that's all i got. maybe someday i'll get around to really blogging again... maybe.

late birthday celebrations are happening saturday at 8pm at dark horse in westport. might be migrating to other bars throughout the night but we’re starting there. i’m over the cough of death & want to hang out with people so come out if you can. kthxbye.

i'm trying to figure out if the cough of death is the air being so dry or just being around more smoke than usual while i was in springfield. i don't feel sick, i just am nearly hacking up a lung every couple minutes. not cool.

i spent the weekend in springfield. me and sean split the gas cost and drove down in my car friday night. it only took about a third of a tank... which is good because gas frookin skyrocketed the past couple days. eesh. it was good times though. it's nice to have company on a boring drive like that. we got in late friday. i left him at the ska house and went to my sister's, which is only a couple minutes away from there. the girls were thinking about going to a party but everyone ended up getting tired and i just went to sleep around 1:30am.

saturday there was a barbeque at the ska house in the afternoon. we weren't playing the 'you honk we drink!' game but got plenty of honking from the cars on national anyways. we all just must've looked really good while stuffing our faces and drinking beer in the front yard. that night there was a fantabulous show at the outland with the magnificents, last nights vice, the queen city saints, the adrenals and the dead city shakers. i was on merch and camera duty for the magnificents. i didn't sell anything but i did get video and lots of pictars. the show started around 8:30 and lasted until nearly 1am. that was followed by searching for my car for ten minutes because i couldn't remember where i parked in downtown springfield. we managed to find adam too, who had wandered off at some point during the night causing sean and mike to have to start a search party for him. next came a great after party where i got my hair petted by one drunk girl, mistakenly apologized to by another drunk girl that thought she had gotten in a fight with me earlier at the show but i had never even seen her before then, and then i even got recognized for being kc katie from myspace. it was great. and this all happened within fifteen minutes after walking in the door! haha. we walked to maggie's around 5am and then had drunken conversations on her porch with her roommates that kept me up until like 6am sunday morning. it was epic.

of course sunday i was dead on my feet but it was definitely worth it. i managed to drag myself out of bed after tossing and turning most of the morning and got in a quick shower before waiting forever for breakfast food for lunch at a restaurant called gailey's. the eggstraordinary omelete was pretty amazing though. i washed my car and then bought  an extra lip ring and beads and incense at kaliedoscope. i resisted the urge to get my right tragus pierced but i kinda wish i did. i spent the rest of the afternoon with maggie and austin laying on their bed with their cat chloe and dog hank. me and sean packed up around 6ish and made it back to independence a little after 8:30. it's really easy to speed in my car. we made it back before it started storming so that was good.

i couldn't sleep at all last night because of staying up all saturday. i went to bed at 10 but pretty much tossed and turned till at least midnight. it was freezing when i woke up this morning and i really wanted to just pull the covers over my head and sleep the rest of the week. ugh. i made it to work though. really, i didn't even do a whole lot there because our computer system went down around noon or so and i had to leave at 2 for a dentist appointment anyways. so i basically stood there looking at my frozen computer for two hours.

today was my first dentist appointment since i was in high school. i only started getting dental insurance when i started at carlson in august and they couldn't fit me in for a cleaning until today. so i got my teeth cleaned and was informed that i have such deep grooves in my teeth that i'll need to get most of them drilled down a little and filled just to prevent cavities from forming. they also did x-rays and said my wisdom teeth have to go. he can get the right side out with just a local but the left side i'm going to have to get oral surgery on. the bottom one is completely sideways and pushing against the rest of my teeth. i did lose like 3 sets of retainers when i got my braces off as a kid but the sideways wisdom tooth is probably a little responsible for how my bottom teeth got so crooked again. i honestly wouldn't even care except that he said it would give me problems for later if i didn't get it taken care of soon.

i have tons of pictars, mainly of the magnificents and the adrenals, that i need to resize and adjust the color on. but i'm really frookin tired and lazy so it'll probably take me a couple days to get those up. sean got the video of the magnificents off my camera already anyways so that's the main thing people would really want. i'm sure the other stuff will be up in a few days.

i think i'm going to take a really long shower and pass out now. my mom gave me some cough syrup with codeine in it and i finally can breathe a little without hacking constantly. but i'm sleepy now so yeah. kthxbye.
