It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Bat for Lashes will be playing her first shows in Latin America.

Coldplay have kindly asked Natasha to support them for their tour of the area in February/March 2010. The tour sees visits to Argentina, Columbia, Brazil and Mexico.

Tickets go on sale later this month.

We are pleased to announce that Bat for Lashes will release a special edition of the album Two Suns on the 7th of September in the UK with a US and international release date to be confirmed very soon.

The double CD and DVD includes a 48 minute documentary, beautifully shot at varying locations across the world from the Joshua Tree desert and Big Sur in California, to the streets of New York and the Welsh countryside, offering an extraordinary insight into the making of Two Suns.

In addition to the full album track listing, the special edition will also contain eight bonus tracks, including the popular stripped back version of hit single ‘Daniel’, a reworking of The Cure’s ‘A Forest’ and Natasha’s poignant version of Kings Of Leon’s ‘Use Somebody’.

If you fancy the chance of winning a signed vinyl copy of Bat for Lashes latest album ‘Two Suns’ you now have the opportunity.

GoMix have created a nice little MySpace app where you can edit your own mix of a song. ‘Sleep Alone’ the next single from ‘Two Suns’ has just been added for you to have a play around with. 

You can use the GoMix widget on the Bat for Lashes MySpace page to listen to other peoples mixes and then make your own.

So how do you win the signed vinyl copy of ‘Two Suns’? The ten most played mixes of ‘Sleep Alone’ will be listened to by Natasha herself and her favourite will be awarded the prize.


However, just so you know here are the guidelines:
1. Create a mix of ‘Sleep Alone’ using the GoMix app on MySpace.
2. When you save your mix tick the ‘Competition Entry’ box.
3. Get your entries in by the 7th of September 2009.

Bat for Lashes has been nominated for a MTV 2009 Video Music Award in the ‘Breakthrough Video’ Category for ‘Daniel’, the first single taken from the album ‘Two Suns’.

The award is decided by a public vote so it would mean a great deal if you could take a trip over to the MTV Video Music Awards site to vote.


The winner will be announced on September 13th.

Just found out that Bat for Lashes second album ‘Two Suns’ has been nominated for the 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize as ‘An Album of the Year’.

The winner will be announced on the 8th of September 2009.
