What's Good Everyone!!!

So my grinding has continued to come back to me and got me a gig as the house DJ Thursday's at Enigma Cafe in Norwalk, CT (My Home Town).

It's crazy b/c the owner heard of me through other people and was eager to have me come in and meet him. I guess he knew I had a huge following and saw the $ signs before I even opened my mouth. I didn't even try out or audition, just walked in and shook his hand.

I have to admit, anyone who tells you something is too hard to succeed in has definitely lost there will to grind it out and stick to what they dream to do. Seriously...I heard some negative stuff from a DJ I met, and he was just focusing on the difficulty in succeeding in the music business. I hear him and agree that it is not easy, but what can you say that you really want, I mean really really want that is ever that easy. Sure some things you can get easier than others, but when you come down to it there is always going to be something that is not easy to get. Hey, if it happens to be my grind to reach and exceed my goals as a DJ, well then so be it.

As a DJ who has only been DJ'ing for 2 years and only been on actual turntables for less than two months; i have made a name for myself and I'm not even happy w/ that. It's not a big enough name in my opinion. When you can go down a list of your favorite DJ's and include "Genius" as one of them, maybe I'll feel slightly satisfied, but not enough to slow my grind down.
