Hello everybody!

It's newsletter time. Woohoo and wooha. We've got plenty of news and notes so let's get ready to get party hype. 

First off, Your Best Friend and Steve Sochanek have parted ways. Don't worry! We're still going to be friends and brothers! We want to thank him for all of his hard work and we definitely wish him all the best. 

Joining us now, coincidentally is another Steve. His name is Steve Colyer and he is a rad daddy with a rude booty. We can't wait for you all to meet him!

We posted some songs that are new to the internet but maybe not to those of you who have our record. Check them out on our MySpace, Facebook, and PureVolume. We posted "Close Your Eyes and Drive Away" and "I'm Afraid of Myself and Everything I Haven't Done". We also put up the album version "The Path of an Illogical Liar" so wadata my damies. 

We are currently writing a new record! We can't wait for you to hear it! We don't have an estimated time of arrival, but we promise that it will be worth the wait!

There is a very limited amount of hoodies left on our online store @ http://shop.yourbestfriendrock.com. We only have smalls and we only have a few so pick them up while you can! We also have a few shirts left from the last tour. Holler at those hot tasties.

Are you a totally savvy master of the craft of graphic design? We are ordering all new merch and we're looking for someone who can rock the block and make people look totally radicool. If you aren't a jabroni, please get in touch with us about designing our merch.

We may or may not be recording an acoustic EP in the near or not near future. If we were or weren't able to do that, which songs would you want acoustic versions of? Holler atcha boys.

We wanted to extend our thanks again to all of you for your support. We had a rough time on the last tour with all of our unfortunate happenings (i.e. breakdowns, break-ins, etc.). Thank you all so much for your donations of time, money, kind words, and love. We love you all to death and we can't wait to see you. Please keep in touch with us while we're writing. We'll still be on the computer, just not as much. We will be doing video updates of the writing process so keep your bananas peeled for that. We love you guys.

Dear friends,

This tour has been a tough one to get through. Don't get me wrong, this is what we will be doing for the rest of our lives and we wouldn't trade it for the world. It's just that the unfortunate sequence of events has made it difficult for us to see any good that has been happening to us. Just in case you missed it, here are those aforementioned unfortunate events that have taken place over the last couple of weeks.

- Our trailer brakes went out

- Tire blowout 

- Van breakdown

- 3 canceled shows due to being stranded in Roswell, NM

- Someone smashed our window and stole our GPS and iPod

Needless to say, it hasn't been all that much of a picnic. Unless the picnics that you go to result in over $3,000 of losses and exhausted spirit. The reason I'm writing this is because we wanted to thank everyone who has helped us out, not only over the past couple of weeks, but over the last 6 years of this band's existence. 

The show of support has been unimaginably overwhelming. We are just four dudes who love playing music and connecting with people. All of your thoughts, prayers, monetary donations, and well-wishes have been nothing short of miraculous. You all have restored our faith and spirit. 

Thank you to everyone at AbsolutePunk.net, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and PayPal for all of your help. It has been extremely overwhelming.

I feel selfish for even letting these unfortunate events get to me. We were focusing on all of the bad instead of all the good. We are extremely fortunate to have you all as our friends. We get to see the world and play music and build relationships. It is incredible. You all have been an inspiration and another reason to go on. Thanks for being in this band with us.

Also, a quick thanks to Kanye for not interrupting me.
