Well...

We here at RicoCentral will be saying a farewell to our good buddy Richard "Thunder Chops" Neil on bass guitar as he sails off to the Bay Area to take a gig with a fusion jazz trio in a bi-weekly gig at the local Shoneys.

No actually he is going away to make video games for all of our handheld video gaming needs.

This does bring a new phase of the Biscuit that we are very excited about.  As it sits right now we have Shreavy Bretal Markle on guitar, Brian "Full Tilt" Ochs on Drums, and Evan "Action Grip" Midds saying so long to the 6 strings of fury that drapped his shoulders for so long and saying hello to the essential sound of smooth Bass.

Come on down to the Owl 'N Thistle on Saturday July 21st at 9pm and have a great time with us once again.

June 8th Ric "Thunder Bass" Neil, "Heavy Bretal" Markle, Brian "Splintering" Ochs and Evan Metalsworth pull their 1972 Sin Bin into Yakimetal for a one stop onslaught.  This will be our first venture into the land to the east past the Crying Pines of Wisdom and over the Whispering River of Lost Souls.  Plus it'll be a lot of fun.

Our first gig of the year!
Well as 2007 creeps in we are already off to a great start!  We have been asked to be apart of a new compilation from Illumina records called Rockers For Life.  Its an album to raise awareness against drunk driving and we are very excited to be involved in such a cool project for a great cause.  The basic concept of the album is to choose the top 20 bands from 40 cities across america, put them all on an album and raise money and awareness towards drunk driving.
Work on the new album still continues, but has slowed a bit while we knock the rust off the old strings on some songs we havent play for over 5 months!  This year we our resolution is:  Kick it up a notch, make more musical, more funky and ofcourse more fun!   Thanks all, we hope to see you at the Owl 'N Thistle Saturday Feb 10th!

As the four of us settle in for another warm Christmas Holiday Season we take this time to introduce the second song in the works for our new album.

The song High, How Are You was born in the key of D with a guitar cleverly tuned to DADFBD.  Evan promptly constructed a rough demo to submit to his friends at the BiscuHit Factory.  After reviewing his sumbmission the big wig execs, Richard Neil, Bretton Markle and Brianious Ochs scheuled an appointment to meet with the songwriter.  Many long hours were spent in negotiations to see if the song was good enough for the threesome....and it was.

The BiscHit Factory now joined arms with the young kid from Indiana and the rest as they say.....is a point in time where something took place once in the present but to future generations and those even remotely interested in it would call the past.

No better type of song to start off the recording of an album than a good ol' rocker.  This song came together quickly with the intial opening lick belonging to Sir Evan Charles Middlesworth of Kingsly Lochshirehosington III.  Years of Classical training allowed Sir Charles to apply the "less is more" approach to composition hence forth penning the 6 note opening lick.  With his sites set on constructing another "Mary Had a Little Lamb" or "Happy Birthday" he came to grips with that fact that such a thing just wouldnt happen and decided to phone his buddies Lord Richard, Squire Brian and Heavy Brettal to finish off the rest of the piece.  Originally penned for Bassoon, The III decided to switch to distorted guitar, a close relative.

As seen in the photo Heavy Brettal and Lord Richard along with Capt Carl Corcoran, Andy "swift" Rich and Col. David Spangler added in a stabbingly delicious horn section for the middle 8 with a subtle reprise at the outro to bring the song to a close.

Stay tuned for the next piece in the Bisque Catalog entitled High, How Are You?...
