Survival is in Rough Trade Shops prestigious top ten albums of the year. Check it out here. They're also throwing in a 5 song bonus EP we recorded late one night in mid October. It's advertised as acoustic, but that's not entirely true.

So recently Forest Fire played La Route du Rock festival in Saint-Malo, France. Somewhere in the blur we wound up at La Blogotheque villa making this video. I really can't say enough nice things about the Blogotheque folks, not to mention the classic cinema they're making. Needless to say it was a pleasure to meet, hang, and BBQ with all of them.
Just to give you some context, this was one of those no-sleep upon no-sleep, it's four A.M in France kind of nights. And if you haven't already, check out Papercuts, they're in there too (so good!).

hey all,
we are hitting the road soon In honor of our record Survival out August 18th on the brand new Infinite Best label! we've got a few in the flesh dates lined up, the most important of which is our Chocolate Bobka presents record release party at Union Hall on August 10th which we are doing our best to make as crazy as possible. Apparently there will be cookies, Survival on Vinyl and an overall sense of danger in the air. Not to mention HOLOGRAM and Shilpa Ray. Be there or be square.

Friends, Forest Fire recently signed to the esteemed Talitres label. On April 27th they will release Survival in France, Benelux, Switzerland, Germany & Austria, and we are honored and excited to be supported by them. For those of you out there on the other side looking to obtain a physical copy of Survival, you now have a way. Just go to the best record shop in town and there it will be, somewhere between Fleetwood Mac and Gram Parsons. The initial Catbird Records run of Survival is long gone (Thank you Ryan!). We are working out a way to release it in the states - Full updates on that very soon. Just found out we were nominated for the Deli artist of the month (fingers were crossed for Artist of the decade, but sadly no dice). We know Americans everywhere of all shapes and sizes love to vote!
