It's not because we're stopping it.

It's just because MySpace sucks.

More soon.

Friday was an amazing night. It was roughly 2984 degrees below zero, I thought the audience would be comprised of Me, Rich and the bands...if the bands were able to make it out. I was wrong, a healthy group of people braved the nasty conditions and came out to see the show, many of whom knew full well that we don't retain a ton of heat in our basement. It's happened many times before, but once again, my hat's off to you Chicago.

Some changes in the video editing week. I think it's getting pretty close to as good as it's going to get with the equipment we have. Let's take a look at the clips:

My Canadian Girlfriend kicked the show off:

The Columbines brought some dirty rock to the table:

.22 got things wrapped up so everybody could go home and warm up:

What a great night. Thanks to everybody for coming out!

Closed out a double header weekend with an eclectic night under cover of snow:

Canyon started out the night unveiling their bigger and badder lineup:

Division & Honore waxed poetic about Rocky IV:

Then, Dr. Killbot ended the night doing what Dr. Killbot does:

Our special Friday night event thrown by Armory was nothing short of a blast. And they brought some terrific artists in to boot.

Christine Marie warmed the party up with her sexy voice (with David Coresh doing the hype work):

Shapes and Atoms, Celestino's new band, came out and absolutely lit the place up. This is a fun video:

Before his set got started, Dave Coresh had a little fun with Nick Jr. beatboxing.

Then got into his set:

Nick and Beans came in to end the wild night:

Well this night wasn't one for the feint as temperatures approached zero outside. Still, a hardy bunch came out to see the last Union Rock Yards show of 2008:

Dylan Posa and Three Cheers for One Dead Man came out 40% leaner (sans horns) and 40% faster. Big thanks to these guys for jumping on the bill on 5 day's notice:

Mayor For Life one upped them, and jumped on the bill on 5 hours notice after storms in Milwaukee made travel impossible. MFL becomes the first band to play two Union Rock Yards shows, after becoming the first band to play one (and will likely be the first band to play three):

Wind or Ghost closed out the night with their first show in over two years:

Thanks to everybody for coming out and an awesome 2008. See you all next year!

Just finished off something of a "New Faces 2008" show. All our bands last night formed this year, and as you can see, have done quite well for themselves in the early going. Take a looksee:

Many Against Blue Whale got it going:

Brighten Up was the first of two mind-blowing two-man bands:

Meversusu was the second, closing out the night. That's meversusu. If you're like me you're slapping your forehead now saying: "Oh! That makes a lot more sense."

The only thing we could think of to balance out our first hip-hop show last time out was to put on our first country show, curated by Sophomore Lounge:

State Champion got it started:

Slithering Beast came up from Clark County, Indiana to showcase some tunes off their terrific new album "Midnight Royalty":

Animal City closed out the party:

Well we're still reeling from a great night at the Maintenance Crew record release for Plain and Simple.

Phero kicked it off:

Selfish laid down some knowledge then took the crowd back in time:

Decay showed off tracks from his own new album:

Maintenance Crew closed out their party:

Then to close out the night, Maintenance Crew brought out Decay, Selfish, and Astonish to bring it home:
