Hey kids, thought I'd take some time away from my tablet and update the blog once more. I've been getting a lot of Christmas Card cover art requests on top of illustration and animation work that I am doing for
JPL Productions, so I've been fairly busy, but there is always room for more paying work and I'm always on the look out!
I am hoping to be caught up next week so that I can go fishing with my dad, but right now I don't think it is going to happen. At least I have the early spring fishing trip to look forward to!
Below is the most recent Christmas Card piece that I've finished. I tried some new painting techniques in Photoshop for the background, and I think I am going to continue to do backgrounds that way. This background has some issues, but is far more interesting than anything I could throw together in Flash, or Illustrator. My goal was to make it seem like it was made with traditional media, and it almost got there. Next time it'll be even better.

Also the cat that is jumping on the right was supposed to be spraying pee at the dude on the couch, but I had to take it out because apparently some important people will be getting this card. Now the cat is jumping oddly, or maybe presenting his butthole. You choose.
Hope you like it. Post comments, I know people visit the page once in a while but I rarily get any love! I'd like to hear your critiques, and opinions!
