Oh yeah, Barins broke up yesterday.
Yesterday Barins played its first and only gig, in London.
And it was good, really!
But they're are supposed to quit, at least for a while.

Yeah! :)

Now the group, self-designated as lo-fi freethinkers rock emigrants, is putting out their first full album.

The idea is to start rehearsing periodically in order to start doing gigs.

They are thinking again about the necessity/convenience of a bass but now they don't worry anymore if it would be possible for their drummer/vocalist to play drums and sing simultaneously.

Larry is too young, they say...
And there is another obstacle...

Walden, Larry and Narc had made only one rehearsal at Brighton Electric Studios (the rehearsal happened on 31/10/2008), when they decided to record their first songs, to see what could happen.

While they were recording, some friends (from the hospital where Walden and Narc work) got interested in the group thus its formation has enlarged.


The result of the trio's initial ideas and the inputs of the new members is a bundle of 12 completed songs.
The drums were recorded at Brighton Electric Studios (rehearsal room 5).
All the rest (guitars, bass, violin, vocals) was recorded at home.
The mixing was done at home too.
All the recordings and mixing were made by Walden using a portastudio Fostex and Audacity, between December 2008 and February 2009.


On 21/02/2009 Barins recorded three new songs with Henrique from The Tamborines engeneering. This recording session was held at his studio in London.
