Friday, July 24th is the release date for Hey Tiger’s highly anticipated follow up to September. The new EP, entitled Morning Light features 5 neatly crafted songs sweetened with a little bit of Americana flavor.

Hey Tiger delivers everything you’ve come to expect from them – thoughtful lyrics, searing vocals and a solid instrumental foundation - while intensifying their sonic landscape with deeper and richer hues.

So it looks like I have inadvertandly taken on a blogging schedule here.
Every two months-ish.

So, we've recorded pretty much all of the tracks for our EP and it's being mixed, etc. as we go along. I'm hoping to release it this Fall.

Things have  been a bit crazy in these parts... Jim's on another continent, Josh is having his Big Day, Wayne is busy with work and I just finished up my 2nd to last semester. Three more classes this summer and I'm DONE. Until I go back for my Masters.

Also, I've been making jewelry and accessories.
Neat.

Our next show is on June 19th at The Goldhawk. I've been writing and writing and hope to feature some new songs in the set. I've been playing piano a lot more lately and think its a better fit for me.

Anyway... that's all for now.

xo,
Christina

So... yeah.
I forgot about the blog. I'm a scatterbrain sometimes.
At least I'm self-aware.

The last two shows at The Goldhawk were really great. Met a lot of lovely people and had a nice time as always. We don't have anything lined up in March right now because it's kind of a hectic month according to our personal schedules.

We're writing more songs. I'm trying to fill up my journal with thoughts and lyrics (and stupid drawings). I tried writing and storing my lyrics on my computer. I've found that the computer is fine as a file cabinet but I have to start out with a pen and paper.

Fascinating. I know.

So, while Hey Tiger will not be appearing as a unit this month, be sure to check out our Josh at the 'Hawk next Thursdee (3/20). He'll be playing a solo acoustic set. And I've been known to pop up at open mics to test drive new songs.

Peas and carrots,

So, I've decided to start posting blogs here.
A 2008 resolution?

Disclaimer: I am really bad at committing to blogs and will probably abandon this within a month.
But... it can't hurt to try. Maybe I'll surprise myself.

So, the first week into 2008 was kind of a baptism by fire. We had to catch up on a bunch of rehearsals and we played two shows. I have to say... it was a really fun week.

We played the Southpaw in Brooklyn for the first time on Thursday and I cannot wait to go back. The people who run it are really lovely. The place is really comfortable AND they have a photo booth. Photo booths always increase the fun factor by at least 15%. My friend Bev and I tried to resist it's lures, but of course we couldn't help ourselves in the end:

(She's going to kill me.)

Friday, we were at Maxwells for the first time in several months. It was great to be back there because we always have a great time. If you were at the show, you probably noticed the lovely lady who joined us on stage. Mari Hubley graciously lent us her beautiful voice for some intense three-part harmonies. It's really exciting to sing that kind of stuff. I'm hoping to steal her for some upcoming shows as well.

Also, Paul Bachman was kind enough to take pictures at the show! He really did an amazing job. He currently has the pictures streamed under "recent posts" on hisMyspace page. I'm going to put them up here soon. Promise.

Yay.

What else...?

We're still finishing up stuff for the new EP. In the mean time, take a listen to the new-ish-ly uploaded MacGuyver on our home page. (Note the clever alternate spelling.)

I think that's it.
For now...?

So. What did you do this week?
Me?
Oh... my band played at Giant's Effing Stadium with Nickelback and Bon Jovi!!!!!

WHAT??

I'm still slowly coming back down to planet Earth after the most surreal week of my life. Playing to thousands of people at Giants Stadium was simply a dream come true. The sound was huge. The stage was huge. The crowd was huge. The entire experience was H.U.G.E.

I'm still a little choked up about the whole thing. We all have dreams. I actually got to live one of mine out this week. The impact of that is still resounding.

The past week was a complete whirlwind. Between doing interviews for newspapers, television and appearing live on Scott and Todd's Big Show on WPLJ... and meeting so many incredible people... and being able to share our music with such an astounding number of people... I'm still in shock.

I
Am
Still
In
Shock.

Bottom line - We are so thankful for being chosen and we're thankful to all of you who worked right along with us to promote the hell out of this incredible opportunity.

The ground is rumbling. Let's keep stomping our feet!

XO,

Christina
