Hi, my name is Linda Kaufman, Monticello, FL                  ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Over the years Melissa Greer has become a very dear friend to me & my family. I would like to let everyone know how hard Melissa has worked & the great job that she has done over the past years in creating this wonderful website! It is so easy to use & is a delightful change from the old black & white news papers that we use to receive in the past! I have never written an e-mail that has not been promptly answered, all of the shows are listed & we are the first to know if they are cancelled. Melissa makes every effort to come & photograph our events & post them on the website, despite her not feeling well at times. We are very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable person to keep us up to date on barrel racing in the State of Florida. This website will keep you informed about everything you need to know about barrel racing, training, District & Rodeo News, or even shelters during a storm. And if you have a question about anything, all you have to do is ask Melissa & if for some reason she doesn't know, she will find the answer for you! Once you take a look & browse through the website I know you will keep coming back for your information & become part of the family too.

By Stephanie Snyers of DeLeon Springs, FL - I find that the Florida Equine Athlete, both in print and online to be the premier source of  information for the sport of barrel racing (and pole bending) in Florida!  NOONE can compare.  Not only is there always information on events and the most up to date event results, there is a plethora of other information to be found.  I have been a subscriber for several years and wouldn't go with out it.  It is the Florida barrel racer's bible, in some ways like Barrel Horse News is on the national level.  Even when I am not racing I enjoy the articles, classifieds (which work!) and to see how my friends are doing out there.  I followed Melissa's study from the beginning and helped with the final survey in the end.  The information found in that study was ground breaking, I do not believe anyone has ever done anything like that.  If you are a competitor or business owner you will find the information that was not only in the publication, but now in an upcoming book priceless.  I love Florida Equine Athlete and it's owner, I have gained knowledge and a great friend all through this publication!

By Teresa Wilson, Bartow, FL - I've been subscribing to Florida Equine Athlete since it's inception. I remember when Melissa published the first issue and  being both an avid reader and barrel racer, I was glad to have a magazine that would keep me informed of everything going on in Florida barrel racing.  FEA has been an excellent source of information, whether it's upcoming shows, cancellations, show results or articles about people in our sport.  The magazine tends to have the most current information.  As the internet has continued to grow as part of daily lives Melissa had the foresight to put the magazine on-line for her subscribers as well.  I've found it very convenient to know that I can find what I'm looking for on-line and not have to wonder if I still have the magazine for that month.  As far as I'm concerned, Florida Equine Athlete is the "must have" publication for the Florida barrel racer.

By Tammi Pettis of  Osteen, FL – Lazy P Ranchwww.Flrodeo.com -

FEA magazine is a good source for local barrel racing information. I enjoy reading it each month when it comes out. It keeps me up to date with all of the local barrel racing organization's shows and standings and it also has some pretty good articles.  The magazine is becoming one of the main go to magazines for information in south and central Florida. Melissa, I just want to say thanks for all your efforts in keeping this magazine going.

By Tiffany Drotos of Lakeland, FL - I love Florida Equine Athlete because it keeps me up to date and you guys are always willing to put something new on there.  It lets you know when shows are coming up, what cool events went on at the last barrel race, and other great things.

Aimee Gilmore of Wimauma, FL-

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the Florida Equine Athlete publication, as a barrel racer and now as a small business owner. I find that the articles are well written and are of great value. The calendar of events is accurate and well kept as well. I will also be advertising with the Florida Equine Athlete as a business owner as it is a publication that clearly defines a well put together publication that reaches a loyal customer base.
I enjoy the updates and point updates for my district NBHA FL 00 as well, as it allows me to keep up to date and current with the standings.
Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing what the Florida Equine Athlete has in store next!

From Holly and Meghan Calhoun -
If you need to know something, who's who, where there's a barrel race, a cancelled barrel race, etc.... such as what's for sale, what vet to call or a horse to have hauled, this is the magazine for you! Melissa is great w/ great knowledge and she's everywhere! I truly don't know how she does it.

A "Women of the world", seem to be the best way to describe her!

Anyway, what a nasty day over there in Deland yesterday! Meg won some $$$
and so did the little girl she trains, Dakota Seger on Doodle Bug! WHOO-HOO
We were so excited to say the least. You all have a good one and see you soon.
