Ahhh... today is going well.
I felt fairly down this morning, for unknown reasons, but at lunch I've gotten this feeling of contentment. I took a B-12 vitamin, got the new Dresden Dolls CD, saw the new Indiana Jones movie last night at midnight, and they were playing the Disney cartoon Robin Hood (one of my favorite movies of all time) at Hastings. Almost everything going on in the world is out of our control, so just go with the flow and be happy because of the small things.

Ok... so I just got done watching the movie, The Number 23.
As soon as it was over, I went to head over to my other office and on the way, had to walk down a flight of stairs. I figured I'd count the stairs to see how many it had, and there was 23 stairs...
coincidence? Maybe...except that when i decided to write this blog, I looked up at the time on the computer and it said....4:23.....
BOOM!

edit: ...and then I get home from work and my mom calls, telling me she will be visiting on the 23rd... crap that's weird.

Ok, lets get this out of the way first. I'm aware that a lot of people get stars as tattoos, but I really like the way these look. Anyways, on to the topic...

I've come with with another idea for my first tattoo(s).

I'm thinking about getting a star on the inside of each wrist. I designed a few different concepts and I want your guys' opinions on them.

This is where I wanna get the tattoo, and what it would kinda look like. I'd get one on the inside of each wrist so that I could cover it up with a long sleeved shirt for interviews/dressy occasions:




And here are the different ideas I had:

A solid star on each wrist...



Or

One side would have a star with fire in it, and the other side with water in it, symbolically showing the whole concept of "balance"...

Yes, it's that time again folks.
The time when I say that I'm getting back into photography as a hobby and would love to get more experience taking portraits. Not really the typical "portrait" but more informal. Maybe something that doesn't look quite as "posed."

Ok, so I've revised the tattoo design.
I think the new one looks awesome, let me know what you guys think.



I'm going to darken the wings so they look more like crow wings.

So yeah, the wings symbolize me overcoming things that get in my way like fear, depression, anger, etc...
The kanji are "Art" "God" and "Love". The ribbon they are on wraps around the wings, because only through those things am I able to overcome problems.
Anyways, let me know what you think.

Ok, here's the first design I've come up with. I think I'm going to tweak the wings and bit, and possible add something to help bring the whole thing together.
The Kanji on the left stands for Art, the middle for God, and the right for Love.

Ok, so I decided I want to get a tattoo.
I've been wanting one for a long time, but didn't want to rush into it.
Right now, here's what I'm thinking I would like to get:

A crow wing on each shoulder. (Crows are my favorite type of bird. Also, I wouldn't be getting the tattoo until I get my body back into shape, so it would be kinda like a symbol that nothing can hold me down because I'm willing to work to get whatever I want)

Then, in the center of my back between the two wings, I would get three Japanese Kanji Symbols.
The ones I'm looking at right now are "Life," "God," and "Love."
I chose those because God is an importand part of my life. That symbol would be at the center.
I chose Life because I think that it's important to spend every day doing what you enjoy and living to your fullest potential. I think Love is important because no matter how many times you get rejected or hurt, it's important to ALWAYS be open to love. You will enjoy life so much more if you love the people around you.

Anyways, here's what I've found for the symbols. If you guys know anything about kanji, let me know if these are correct. They seem to be, according to multiple sources on the internet.

So yeah, give me your input. I'm going to find as many different pictures of wings as I can and come up with someone that I design myself.

Sooo I finally dyed my hair black again.
I really like it...i think it looks much more dramatic...now i just need to go tanning more so I don't look so pale.

AND, on a HUGE note, I'm thinking about moving away from Walla Walla.
Right now I'm considering California. Probably the Loma Linda/Irvine area.
I have cousins from there and I think it'd be a nice change.
If I DO move, it probably won't me until after this summer.

It's raining today, which isn't a wonderful mood setting for me, but I'm staying positive.
I think i'm going to get some coffee for lunch and continue reading this book called "The Stranger" that I picked up.

Oh, also, another HUGE note, I'm thinking about cancelling my Warcraft account for a while.
I'm a little burnt out on it, and I feel like it's holding back my social life. Don't worry, i'll still stay in contact with all my WoW buddies, but I think it might be nice to take a break for a bit.

Hm...so yeah...that's about it in the life of Travis. I miss my friends that have moved away for school, jobs, etc and I feel like I need to recharge because I've been feeling a little lonely and depressed the past few weeks. Maybe I should take up painting again.
