Okay kids,
Have you been wondering what the hell we are up to? Why haven't we put up new music with my vocals or Wulf's orgasmic guitar playing or how bout Marc's sublime bass? Well we are currently working with Mike (Magic) Cartwright on recording our latest tunes. You can look forward to songs coming real soon. Despite what seems like never ending technical difficulites in the studio, we will PREVAIL!
Live shows are on the horizon! Our first live show as the new lineup will be an exclusive invitation only party at Elaine's Haus of Whacks. We are working on booking shows now for October, namely HALLOWEEN!
First set of stickers just arrived, tshirt designs are being finalized and other kung fu grip propaganda is on the way. You can send a $1.50 if your out of town and absolutely cannot wait for Strap On Halo merch. Just email us for details along with your addy here on myspace and we can try to scrounge up as many goodies to fit in a letter size envelope that regular postage will pay. Otherwise hold on to your pantaloons and get ready for us.
~Layla

For those of you who did not know we recently took a road trip to San Antonio, Texas to see ohGr live at the White Rabbit. The show was absolutely awesome, like we expected any less. We managed to squeeze in time to hit Atomix and The Prestige. Thanks to DJ Fell for making us feel welcome and Jane from Emily's Gone Mad (my best friend, uh the real reason I went to Texas) for introductions and everything in between. It was a fantastic time with even more fantastic people (Michelle and Olivia, can't forget you) and we are already planning out next trip with possible live shows in the near future.
Wulf was impressed by how great the scene was and for some this might sound weird but he really wants to go back! Yay me...
There is nothing like being back home in San Antonio, Layla
Oh and next time we will have lots of Strap On Halo propaganda for your wearing pleasure.

On the insistence that everything old is new again, I have decided to resurrect Strap On Halo. Originally formed in Omaha during the winter of 94 in Chris Erissons's attic with Bart, Sid, Krystyna and myself originally calling ourselves Mobius Strip. After a few late night band rehearsals that would even make the suicide girls blush, I insisted we change the name to Strap On Halo.
Due to the perfectionist tendencies in all of us, we never had the same line up for very long and the band went through several reincarnations over the years. In a very short time we were opening for such bands as Trance to the Sun, Morphine Angel and The Wake. Then in 97 the band split into two camps, one moving to New Orleans that released the single, "Chains" out of Cleopatra records that ended up on there, " Black Bible" compilation. The other half continued to play shows throughout the Midwest.
Few years passed and in 02, I bumped into Shawn a.k.a Rev S.O.B. at a fetish BBQ. After talking and reminiscing about music and past Strap On Halo road stories we reformed the band. After being hosted by the velvet pantheon we soon started getting local and international airplay with the new material we had recorded.
After awhile Rev and I discovered that the new material was a different monster all its own and we eventually agreed to call it Devilspoons. So because of the overwhelming fan requests in the past year, blackmail, and other incentives I have decided to strap on the halo once again.
Sean a.k.a Wulfgang Von Sanguinary
