JUKE KARTEL ANNOUNCES THEIR RETURN TO AUSTRALIA TOUR
"ACOUSTIC SESSIONS" EP RELEASE JANUARY 2010 - AUSTRALIA
After spending the majority of 2009 focusing on their career in the US, Juke Kartel are heading home to Australia for a string of tour dates and a new EP release. The EP, entitled, “Acoustic Sessions” will be released exclusively to the Australian market upon their arrival in January. The disc was recorded in Los Angeles and consists of one new song, “Canvas Satellite” and 4 acoustic versions of tracks from their internationally acclaimed debut album, “Nowhere Left To Hide.”
The last 8 months have seen Juke Kartel perform over 20 shows in the Los Angeles area as well as 2shows with Slash & Friends (Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Navarro, Fergie, Billy Idol, Andrew Stockdale, Chester Bennington, Travis Barker and more); one in Norway at the Quartz Music Festival for 30,000people and another performance at the Los Angeles Youth Network benefit in Los Angeles.
As young teenagers, front man Toby Rand, guitarists Todd Burman and Dale Winters along with bassist Tommy Kende first came together to forge what became Juke Kartel. Drummer Jason Pinfold followed suit shortly thereafter. Like brothers they finish each other's sentences, bicker, bait and wind each other up, but the fraternal love is self-evident, along with the mutual admiration and respect. "We're more than just band mates. We're a family that chose each other.” Among the bands many accomplishments, their biggest highlight was being the first unsigned artist to perform at the MTV Awards Australia and receiving a People’s Choice Award in 2008. The band had played its fair share of small clubs and pubs for the last few years before Nickelback asked them to open two stadium gigs in Melbourne . Followed by a national arena tour of the USA and Canada with Rockstar Supernova. Back in Los Angeles, the band has secured a production deal with Emmy & Academy Award winning Scout Productions, who will produce an on the road with Juke Kartel show following their journey as a foreign band as they seek to break ground on US soil.
Juke Kartel are looking forward to getting back to their homeland to perform in front of their fans, friends, and family.
