Ho, ho, ho.

Well, before everyone starts a new decade, we wanted to send you out of this one w a sneak peak at what we've been brewing.

It seems like only yesterday that Svend was cooking Turkey for everyone in London while recording most of our album.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2cWGloOevE

But man, it's been a whole year (And what a year this has been!).

We toured w Katy Perry most of 2009, and the very few times we were home, we were busy working on finishing the record.

There are finally fruits from our labor, however: we are pleased to announce that the new album is done, headed to mastering, and we'll have it in your hands sooner than you think.  We can’t wait for all of you to hear it and and see you while on tour supporting the album this coming year.

We snuck a peak out to our friend Drew Shirley of Switchfoot, and he decided to play a song on Switchfoot’s recent radio takeover of San Diego’s FM94/9,

Click here to check out the interview as well as a peak at our new song Rogue Machine. http://www.facebook.com/TheDaylights?v=app_5179614317&ref=mf

But before we call it 2010, we’d like to leave this decade with one more show for you.  So if you didn't make it to our headlining show at the Roxy Dec 7, we are excited to play a really great benefit at Boulevard 3 Dec 16.  It's called Falling Whistles, and it's an amazing cause.  Check it out, and hopefully we'll see you LA peeps there.  (click here for info http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=211608655638&ref=mf).

Other news:

-A few weeks ago we shot a video w director Walter May for Rogue Machine and Alive that will be coming out in the new year. Looking very, very, very cool.

-Just shot photos for the album artwork w Jeremy Cowart.

-Working on a club remix the fantastic Steve Aoki.

All that to say we've been working very hard and have lots, lots coming your way.  Hope you all have a warm, blessed holiday.  We can't say enough how thankful we are that you've been a part of our lives- coming to our shows, digging our music and supporting us along the way.  We're really grateful to all of you.  ...And that's all the sappiness you're getting for now.

God bless you guys!
the boys.

Hey friends.
Have a present today for you in the form of a Webisode/trick we pulled on Miss Katy Perry at the Houston Verizon Ampitheatre.  During her encore we found her band’s spare white suits (with their help) and while the lights were down switched instruments with them.  She didn’t even realize it until halfway through the song… pretty hilarious – you can see for yourself.  Talk soon!

Hey guys, hope every one of you are lovely.  Sad to say we're having to cancel our show at The Troubadour on the 9th, as a few of us are over seas, but we'll be playing a this benefit a little over a week later, so hopefully you can me it out.  We've been in NYC the last week, and we can't wait for you to hear it!!  Hope to see you son...

the boys.

So we’re out in the middle of west Texas headed to New Mexico and finally have a second to catch up. For all of you who have messaged us, if we haven’t written you back yet, we definitely will when we have a few days off… The Katy tour is going amazing! It’s been a blast playing some of our favorite cities in some of the best venues in the country and making so many great new friends. We have some killer news for those of you who haven’t been able to get a ticket on this sold-out tour… We’re going to be playing the lovely Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara May 9th with Katy, and there are a few hundred tickets left – they probably won’t be available for long, so get them quick! Hope to see you guys at a show soon!

Hey all, wanted to let you Los Angeleans know you can flip to channel 5 tomorrow morning at 8am to watch us play 3 songs on the KTLA Pre-Super Bowl show.  We're driving all night straight from Sacramento on the Katy Perry tour, but rest assured we'll be there ready and highly caffienated.  Also, we're playing a sold out show at The Wiltern this Saturday with Katy, which is one of my personal favorite venues in the world, so hopefully we'll see you there!  Send us a message - we'd love to hear from you,
Ricky and the boys.
