Hello Handful of Luvin' Email List!

Well we have a ton of information and news to bring you up to date on!!!!

First off, Handful of Luvin' has officially stepped into the trend of Twitter and has a full on account where we tweet on a regular basis!! Check out our page at, and please feel free to sign up for following our stories on the road, in the studio, and just goofing off!
http://twitter.com/HandfulofLuvin

Second on the agenda - Handful of Luvin's new band secretary Leah Carbonell has graciously set up a new youtube channel for us at: http://www.youtube.com/user/HandfulofLuvin1 -- it is awesome!  These are all videos which Leah took at some various shows-- if you have any videos you have taken over the years please let us know!  We would love to post them through the channel for everyone to take a look at! Also, if you didn't already know, Handful of Luvin' is also up and running on Facebook - care of Leah once again!

Third:  If you didn't already know- Handful of Luvin' is playing at Bumbershoot this year, and because of this, we have plenty of promotional offerings we can now offer to our fans!! check out the below discount tickets you can order now!

BUMBERSHOOT INSIDER DEAL PRESALE ON NOW... SAVE 50%!

Here’s the scoop: Bumbershoot single day-specific tickets (Saturday, Sunday or Monday) go on sale to the general public on July 21 for $35/day. After August 21, ticket prices increase to $50/day. Bumbershoot is always a great value, but you're an Insider and want special perks...

So, why don't you buy before everyone else, and pay a mere $25 per day? The Insider Deal is available now exclusively at bumbershoot.org/insider. Use your special promo code: "BUMBERBAND" and save 50%!

This is a limited offer that will expire without notice when these special tickets are kaput. Once the Insider Deal blows out, the $25 tickets will no longer be available anywhere, so don't say we didn't warn you! Please note: these tickets are day-specific. Be sure to check out the by-day lineup*  before purchasing your tickets.

Bumbershoot runs Labor Day Weekend, Saturday 9/5 – Monday 9/7 at Seattle Center. For lineup details or more information about Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival, visit bumbershoot.org. *Complete lineup and schedule will be published mid-July.

Ok Ok... so we are almost through with this email!! This is by far one of the longest we have had in a while!  But, like I said - we have a lot to share with you!

Coming up at the end of June, Handful of Luvin' is returning to the Tractor Tavern and performing with Yogoman Burning Band, and Seattle's Favorite Acoustic Rock Duo - Ari & Mesa! DO NOT MISS IT!!

For some color to this email - here is a promotional poster! (see below)

Last but not least - Handful of Luvin' is about 70% done with our new upcoming album... working title is "Everything and Everyone" and it has 14 tasty new tracks -- plenty of which NO ONE has ever heard before! We are excited, and I'm sure you all are as well!!

Until next time -

Much Luv,

Andrew

http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=381474

Furthermore, for all of those who are coming please note that we are also going to have a bin for the TERRA ROOTS WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE.  If you have any spare hand me down clothes, or white elephant clothes you want to get rid of, please bring them to the show, since Terra Roots has provided us a bin for donations.

Terra Roots Foundation recognizes the shared multicultural aspect of human expression and acknowledges that expression through art constitutes the uniqueness that defines humanity. Terra Roots looks to create and promote a contemporary artistic discourse as part and parcel of the greater modern sensibility. We identify this expression as a catalyst to present a unified voice, explore needs, foster communication, and cultivate solid communities.

We are proud to be able to assist Terra Roots with their efforts, and hope to see plenty of clothing donations tomorrow for the show!

Cheers, and Much Luv in the New Year,

Andrew Joslyn

Greetings to all-

As some of you may have noticed, our emails have not been as hilarious as before. Handful of Luvin's own Adam Curtis has been on sabbatical from us for a while, and in his absence, we are left with the overwhelming task of trying to figure out somewhat funny emails to send out to all of you. Well.... as a band we are not really funny people- well we are, but we never tried stand up comedy like Adam- so trying to fill his shoes is a challenging task. So please bear with us while we learn the ropes!

Once again, all of us here at Handful of Luvin' want to greet all of our newcomers to the email list- and if you have no idea what we were talking about before hand... thats good. You won't have any expectations of us regarding our email messages.

Anyway- enough chatter, Handful of Luvin' is working on their newest album. We don't have a name for it, we have the songs, we have direction, and artistic energy flowing out of every pore ......and we have some gorgeous newly fixed guitars for David! Huzzah! So if you guys have some album title suggestions, for fun you can email us at andrew@handfulofluvin.com or management@handfulofluvin.com. We don't guarentee that we'll use any of them, but it is always awesome to hear from our fans.

December promises to be a great month- hopefully not the wettest on record like November was for the Northwest- but still a great month. Handful will kick it off on December 1st with a Darfur benefit show at the Lo Fi on Capital Hill. For more information about that show, the cause, why people should come, and why they should donate to a great cause, please check them out at www.frubix.com. Handful of Luvin' will be playing at 10:00 that night.

Right before school gets out for Western Washington University, Handful of Luvin' will be playing at the Wild Buffalo along with Taphabit on December 14th. If you live in the Bellingham area, or are willing to come out that night, it promises to be a killer show! This will be the first of many times HOL will share the stage with our newly acqured allies Taphabit, who are a huge talent up in B'ham.

The biggest news that we have is our show December 23rd at Chop Suey. We will be headlining an All Ages evening along with several bands such as Sub-Motive, Ethan from Massy Ferguson and TBA. It promises to be an amazing Holiday bash for all those who are itching to get away from their families over the Christmas break, or want to bring their families along!

Here's to end of November and a great start to December!

Cheers,

Handful of Luvin'

Hello All,

So we have about three days until Handful of Luvin's show at the Showbox and you most likely need tickets. There a few ways to get them:

1) Go down to the Showbox boxoffice and buy them. www.showboxonline.com for $7 (+handling fee)

2) E-mail me, Adam Curtis (adam@handfulofluvin.com) with the subject line 'TICKETS' saying that you would like to meet me and/or a band member at a specific location...and oh yeah, you'd like us to bring you tickets for $7. (This method is not guaranteed by show time, but we will be very communicative to help you through the process)

3) E-mail me, Adam Curtis, with the subject line 'WILL CALL'. Please include the FULL names of all people that you will be coming with so they can be added to the Will Call List to get into the show for $9.

4) Go to your nearest TicketsWest outlet (QFC Store or Rudys Barber Shop) and pay them $7 (+handling fee)

5) Walk up the day of the show and buy tickets for $10 each.

6) Send your spotted owl to my house and I will place the desired amount of tickets into his little beak and/or talons. The owl should then return the tickets to you. *Note: Handful of Luvin' is not responsible for actions taken by shady owls in transit. If said owl decides to make a 'pit-stop' and 'scalp' said tickets, a refund will not necessarily be granted. If said owl chokes on said tickets, Handful of Luvin' is not required by law to replace said owl. The fault will be that of the ticket purchaser and/or owl owner for sending an inferior animal to pick up said tickets. If said band manager decides to keep said owl overnight for companionship, that is the business of said manager and will therefore be considered a 'ticket handling fee' or a 'non-refundable tax'. Whatever you want to call it, if I want to keep the frickin' owl, tough beans!

So, I believe we have given you a few options to buy tickets. We hope to see you there. It is going to be a F-U-N night. Please leav your owls at home.

We have a new website!!! Check it out www.handfulofluvin.com. Andrew spents weeks on this thing, and despite the fact that the rest of us hate it, we let him keep it up anyway. We let him do things like that because he cries...easily. Seriously, the site is awesome. Check out the pictures from our most recent trip to Orkila. It was INSANE!!!

I will be sending out another email tomorrow to let you knwo where we're at! Stay tuned.
