The next chapter is ready and up. I have it post to all my usual sites. The next chapter is going to have Rodney's interview, but a side story is developing that may change the course of the story. Not the main plot lines, but Jon is having fun tormenting Rodney and I have to say...it is fun...

Next chapter is still simmering in the brain pan. I'll get a chance to write it next week some time. Have fun until then.

The next chapter of Finding Closure is posted. It is up on FF.net and Helio. S&J keeps getting an error, so I'll have to post it there when they are back up and running.

This chapter sees more Jon and Abby. Beckett makes his debut but doesn't really do much. The bulk of the chapter is Gibbs and Caldwell. I am proud of it. The edit didn't see any major changes in the dialogue, just adding bits and pieces to the existing line.

Next chapter is mostly done and jam packed. Jon tries to get close to Sheppard and instead spends some quality time with Teyla. Rodney is having problems with the computer. Elizabeth gets grilled by Gibbs with a chaser of Sheppard and Gibbs. I still have to round out Weir's interview but it looks like Gibbs is trying a different approach with Atlantis' leader.

Other plot bunnies are attacking, so we might see more chapters from other WIPs. Don't hold your breath, but Clan of the Wolf, the Second to None sequel, You Get What You Need, and the Farscape crossover are all demanding attention. I'm not sure if I should write while my muse is hot or try to push forward with FC. I always feel scatter brained when I try to write two story lines.

Let me know what you think. I can deal if the demand is high enough.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I got a significant amount of writing done, but not enough to finish out the next chapter. My son was sick and between him and the carpet cleaners I was interrupted...alot. But I have a little over 1,000 words down (about 3 pages) for chapter 10.

I'm starting off with Abby and Jon meeting Dr. Beckett and ending with Col Caldwell's interview. So far they have met the good doctor and when Abby started to get scientific, Jon has zoned out. At that point, I just couldn't handle the interruptions any more and decided to focus on the little monkey.

I don't know when this one will be done, but I don't have to work this weekend, so I'm hoping to finish and post before next week. Keep checking here. I'll keep you posted.

"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."
Douglas Adams

I don't know why I bother setting deadlines. I just end up busting them. I knew I should have spent Monday writting. I should have. But I didn't. Instead I spent a wonderful day with my husband. We shopped a bit. We read. We just enjoyed spending time together. It was great and we had fun.

But, it didn't help me get the next chapter written. So I tried today and got a whole paragraph written. That's it. Yup. I'm so not going to make that deadline.

So, I have to apologize. I'm not going to make my deadline on Wednesday. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Worse yet, I will be working this weekend, so the soonest I can write again is next Monday. I'm sorry.

Chapter 9 is up. Welcome to the City of Atlantis. We get to do the meet and greet and sparks fly as Gibbs plays the Atlantis team. Sheppard is just so easy. Weir is harder to crack and Rodney, well, he wandered off before Gibbs could harrass him properly. And what's up with Jon....

I'll be working hard on 10 monday, but I have to work (manual labor) on the house this weekend because winter is coming and the snow is only a short time away. Hopefully, it will be finished Monday and I can post Tues or Wed depending on the editing process.

Enjoy!

Alright, chapter 8 is up. This is the one that details Lt Ford's story as seen from the reports generated. You may notice some details missing. They are that way for a reason. Reports and lab results don't express the feelings of the people writing the report or the person running the lab test. We'll get into those details when we interview the key players. But for now, the story is the cold hard facts.

Chpater 9 is written and needs to go through the editing phase. Sparks fly as Gibbs arrives and starts pushing people into reacting rather than thinking. All you Atlantis fans will have to help me keep them in character. I am trying to make them act emotionally but in character. So, Weir gets PC, Sheppard throws a fit, and McKay is in denial. I want to run through what I have written again to make sure I smooth out any rough spots.

I should be able to post it some time tomarrow or Friday.

Yes! I am so kicking ass on this story. Chapter 6 is up. We get a bit more Gibbs in action. Chapter 7 is also posted. The trio finally start the trip to Atlantis.

Chapter 8 is re-edited but I want to look at it one more time before I post. I've got all the facts down and now I'm tweaking to ensure that the facts I'm withholding are not only reasonable but timely when they are revealed later. I will most likely post it tomorrow.

Chapter 9 is fully outlined and will be fairly short. It is basiclly the team arriving on Atlantis and meeting with the leadership for the first time.

Chapter 10 starts the interviews. This one with Col Caldwell. I hit a bit of his histroy and he ends up redacting his original report and unloading a bit onto Gibbs.

I have also finished the outline for the rest of the story. I will have a total of 21 chapters and I have changed the warnings to include the major character death. I'm sure you can see the writing on the wall. But hey, 'nobody gets left behind.'

Enjoy!

Chapter 5 is finally posted. It took me a bit to get this scene worked out. Abby is a very special character and she deserved to have this one done right. Of course, having Jack in the scene was just a big bonus. I hope it is believeable.

Chapter 6 is short and already basically done. I need to edit a bit before I post it. But it should be up in a few days. In this one we get to meet Lt Ford's grandmother. From his history we know that his grandparents raised him. I see her as a strong personality that has a will of iron. I never did buy the SGA line where Col Sheppard talked to his cousin and she felt that the grandmother was frail. The woman raised Aiden. She had to have a strong character.

Chapter 7 and 8 are also basically done and need a final edit before I can post. These are the team getting on the ship and then a few days later after they have reviewed the information that Jon gives them, they summarize Lt Ford's story from the Siege until after the Hive (Lost Boys pt 2).

Man do I feel productive.
