Dear Friends,

[enter TRUMPET SOUNDS] for those of you who wanted to buy our EP at the last couple shows but couldn't because we ran out: good news, we finally printed some more CDs. (better late than never?)
come down to the Blue Nile tonight at 9:00PM when we open for a 3-set wonder of a show and you can get your very own limited-supply (and we mean limited) EP. $4.

also, in other exciting news, we are introducing another new song tonight--only its second time to see the light of day in public. a veritable newborn.

hope to see you on this awesome swelter-y evening (there will be A/C, or at least cold basement stones!)...

Dear Friends,

While a drummer out of town is always a source of sadness, Dear WolfGang will stand strong! This Friday, we will hold a one-of-a-kind acoustic set of our favorite songs, drummer-free at the Artful Dodger.

If you like your music pure-n-simple, this show is for you. And if you like art, you will be doubly pleased: Brandy Somers and Tyler Prewett will host an art opening of their newest shows starting at 6PM at the Dodger.

The specs:
What: Friday, August 7 show
Where: Artful Dodger
When: Music to start 7:30 or 8PM (early show, don't be late), art opening begins at 6PM+
Cost: free, unless you buy art or want to tip the band/buy our CD

ALSO:
We will have a VERY acoustic show during the First Friday Downtown Artwalk, playing from 5:30-6:30 or so at Downtown Wine and Gourmet. Come by and join the winetasting and general fun. Free.

Dear everybody,

If you missed our show last night at the Blue Nile, you missed our announcement. So here it is for you too:

We have changed our name from the Wolf Gang to........(drumroll)

Dear WolfGang (ta-dah!)

So, please don't get confused when you see Dear WolfGang playing at gigs--we're the same as before, just with a more unique name. No more competing with the many other Wolfgang bands populating the planet.

It's just us, better and newer-named than ever.

Until the next show (shhhhh....it's an acoustic gig--Artful Dodger, Friday August 7, 2009, 9PM or so),

Hello to the pack.
This spring has been a busy one, and we are looking forward to a fun summer full of music and a little less rain for outdoor shows! After brief hiatus #1 due to band member travel, we now have a couple shows coming up that we are pleased to howl about.

This Thursday we will be playing at the Blue Nile in Harrisonburg, VA, and Friday we will be playing at the Blue Moon Cafe in Charlottesville, VA. Check our myspace schedule for details or these fine dining/drinking institutions' web sites.

We'll be playing our newest song, recently debuted last weekend. We're excited about our latest musical creation, as well as some other songs which have been played for the last few months--if you haven't heard us in a while, you will get an earful of fresh melodies if you come to a show.

And there is more to come, stay tuned.

PS: If you have been hankering for our EP, we will bring a few along to the shows. Act fast, supplies are limited. 4 lofty songs, 4 lil dollars.

Well, friends. The Wolf Gang has had uber-fun running around the last couple months playing music and getting to know new venues in the area. Thanks to friends and strangers alike that have come out to hear our tunes and bopped their head to the beat in metronomic appreciation out there on the floor.

We have one more show in Staunton on Friday, May 1, at Darjeeling Cafe with the Tomsmen, then the pack'll be hibernating for a bit as some of us travel to distant lands in May and June. So if you've been wanting to hear us in the near-term, come out two Fridays from now to Staunton, to an absolutely delectable cafe with awesome vibes.

And thanks again to all who have kindly helped us the last few months as we have worked on more proactively getting "out there" with shows 'round the Burg and beyond. We dig our friends here and can't wait for more fun times with y'all...
