We just confirmed a showcase performance slot at the 14th annual Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA!  This is a big conference and we're definitely looking forward to it.  We'll update the specifics as they become available, but we expect to be there the weekend of Feb. 20th.

i can't believe what a ghost town myspace has become these days. if you're on the site long enough, you can actually see tumbleweed blow by. but i have a feeling that there are a few of you out there and i won't stop posting until we actually get to zero visits in a single day...which seems like that's still a long way off.

First bit of great news:

1. In case you havn't heard from one of our 500 bulletins, 23RD was named a Top 3 Breakout Artist and is appearing live at Six Flags America with All Time Low and White Tie Affair taped for broadcast on the VMAs.

2. We are playing the Official Zombie Raid After Party in DC this Saturday, Aug 15. We'll be playing at Club EXPO w/Chainsaw Baby and Violet Says Five...we'll see you there in your best zombie gear!!!

3. We added a last minute show in Arlington, VA tomorrow night. We'll be playing IOTA w/our friends Boxcar Collision and if you can't make it to the Zombie Raid, we'd love to see you there...show starts at 9:30!

Ok...Jon posted here a few days ago but my last entry was during the American Revolution so it's time to write something.

He already mentioned the MTV thing and stole my thunder but still pretty cool. We were named a Top 20 Breakout Artist and that makes us feel all tingly inside. We're in the running to play during the VMAs so please wish us luck.

You may have noticed we updated our profile and YES we are about to release a brand new CD. It will be all new music and The title of the album is Instruments of Fashion and the Murder of Romance. Some song titles are "The Enemy", "Danger Danger", and "The Distance".

While we aren't touring until January, we are playing some one off shows here and there. This week we'll be at IOTA in Arlington on Friday and then at EXPO in DC on Saturday. Can't wait to see you soon.

so we have something really fucking cool to tell you guys. a writer by the name of Mick Mercer just published his 6th book. the book chronicles dark music and help define all the sub-genres of underground music.

he has been gracious enough to include 23RAINYDAYS as part of the history of noir music. if you want to read more about it or buy the book you can visit the publishers site:

and last but certainly not least we just added an amazing show that will happen in about a month. 23rainydays will join hollowboy and velvet code for a show that will simply be incredible. it happens to be hollowboys cd release party so there's definitely going to be some excitement around the show so make sure you're there!

so we are on the back side of our tour now and have made our way from los angeles to texas and all of the shows in between have been great. we've met some really cool people along the way and want to thank all the dedicated and loyal 23RD fans that trekked crazy distances to see us.

all of the new cities have been really cool but austin by far is the most amazing place we've visited on this tour. i'm sure a ton of you have been there but it's incredible how much nightlife there is in such a small place. can't wait to get back there.

anyway...between cities we get bored but the one thing that has become a daily ritual is to watch the video for "Boyz Gonna Rock" by The Vinnie Vincent Invasion. so many things to laugh at in the video but you can see for yourself:

wow...it's day thirteen of this tour and while things have gone smoothly, it's also been exhausting. also, we decided to travel in a minivan...yes, a minivan. not exactly rock and roll but it's been the best vehicle we've used so far (knock on plastic dashboard cover).

ok...for the last six days we've traveled from pennsylvania to iowa and now we're making our way west to las vegas. the two standout shows have been chicago and cedar rapids. in chicago we played a venue called reggies and the crowd was amazing. it was one of the best organized and best sounding shows we've ever played thx to sam and abe. we also met a great band called the glide...ck them out now!

uhhh...as i write this we are driving through a huge snowstorm in colorado and the road has basically disappeared...we might actually die here...

back to story...in cedar rapids the show was fantastic...great town, new fans and thanks to mindy, jason and justin for all their help with the show.

ok...we're descending 8 miles straight down and we're defintely going to die...jesus...see you on the other side or in vegas, whichever comes first!
