Trailer for Barkleys Barnyard Critters Mystery Tail dvd

Barkley's Barnyard Critters
Mystery Tail
LOAD 089 dvd

Barkley's Barnyard Critters is the continuing saga of rocker dog Barkley and his band of animal friends. In this latest installment, soaring popularity equals rising tension, ultimately forcing Barkley to quit the band and embark on a drunken voyage of discovery through a sea of confusion. While Barkleys away, record label CEO Snakeworthy Price comes up with a devious scheme to replace Barkley and make colossal profits. Watch as Barkley claws his way back to the Battle of the Bands to lay it all on the line!

Animation on the this release is hand drawn in parts, uses 3-D animation in others, and features live action characters in exciting sequences reminiscent of the BANANA SPLITS. This will appeal to fans of the CARTOON NETWORK, SPONGEBOB, and the like.

"Mystery Tale" is an hour long animation by Brian Gibson, the third part in this series thus far. The first was a small run video tape in 2001, the second came out on 2004's "Pick a Winner" DVD (LOAD 050).

Metalux and John Wiese
Exocteric
LOAD 082 cd
release date: 4/18/06
A cold journey awaits you in this collaboration between electronic duo METALUX and sound levitator, JOHN WIESE. Vocals are chopped, and oscillations move themselves into long sheets of ribbon thin taffy confusion. The middle ground in this collaboration has a coldwave appeal that clicks with fans of throbbing rhythmic noise like WOLF EYES and FORCEFIELD. This record is not noise however, more a full blown Kevorkian cocktail of reverberated malaise.

The seven tracks flow one into the next with a rebounded tape smack that does not forget foot bounce, while keeping the main dome fully occupied with variable speed vox fukkk and equipment groan. This one is for the heads and takes notions of either artist to places where neither is safe going. This is for late nights and early mornings.

Yellow Swans
Psychic Secession
LOAD 090 Ccd
release date: 4/18/06
Beaming down from the sky like a ray of white-hot light intent on saving us from outselves, the Yellow Swans come up with their second studio record. Thier other record was "Bringing The Neon War Home" on narnack Although the band has countless releases documenting their live aktions, "Psychic Secession" is a work of uncomprimising vison, weaving together all sides of this duo's 20-sided die. Moments of quiet hum but up against crunchy speaker burners to make this record essential listening.

The last few years have seen the Yellow Swans coat the planet with live dates in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Songs on this record were road tested in front of this planet's hungry eyes.... you might have heard "True Union", which has been a staple of many of these live sets.

This record was originally released in Austrlia by the Numerical Thief label, and comes to you on LOAD in a remastered format. The new master will allow you to hear the whispered hush, disjointed polyrhthymic attack and squealing how, in a new manner, as the Australian version is a bit noisier.

Ovo
Miastenia
LOAD 091 lp/cd
releasedate: 5/2/06

Milan, Italy's Ovo are a two piece using guitar/violin cellos and drums that dump a toxic sludge with an unmistakable butterscotch scent. This sludge is in line with contemperous doom salesmen such as BORIS and the MELVINS, with the addition of vox stylings that take this record to a new place entirely. The sounds coming from Stephania Pedretti's mouth as she sings go from lullaby sweet to terrifyingly raw in short intervals. Instrumentation on this platter is diverse, with guitars, bass, drums being added to the mix as well as music store stand-by's like harmonica, piano, and cello.

MP3's from these records are posted here and the Load website.  You should check them out...

Impractical Cockpit are a New Orleans (now spread out but ready to strike) based band that really has a wide open soul suck sound of mid-day desert howl retro-boozled with ack ack attack of crypt kickers like the Flipper.  The difference is its own punch drunk logic that ping pongs its way through the echo tank and your flimsy human skull.  At once acoustic and plugged in.

Diskaholics "Live in Japan, v.1" documents a purchasing trip made to Japan several years back from three folks: Jim O'Rourke, Thurston Moore, and Mats Gustafsson.  At once concrete and Dark Star, with electronics and reeds interfering with lift coefficient.

Fat Worm of Error "Pregnant Babies Pregnant with Pregnant Babies" Iron Valley’s bedazzled bunch spring forth with a stunner of a record that drones, moans, chortles and squeaks in completely unexpected ways. Beefheart-soaked and strangulated guitar tactics, double mutter drumming, and bass all collide in uncharted territory with hysterical vocal yelps to make this record advance to the head of the class in your record pile. Think of this band in the unlikely company of the real R n’ R Hall of Famers like HALF JAPANESE, THINKING FELLERS LOCAL 182, ARAB ON RADAR and similar jokers. Features folks who have been in bands like DEERHOOF and ANGST HASE PFEFFER NASE!

Wizzardz.... While for many this is  going to be a side project of Brian Gibson, this dashboard messiah is a fuckin' keeper.  Rich Porter (he of Bug Sized Mind), adds some melody muscle to stuff some tissue into the training bra of this submarine racer. Nothing like LB, this is more a creamsicle journey through car commercial jangltastic sound forgery.  Rocking ... yes.

To be released simultaneously with the Barkley's Barnyard Critters "Wizardzz Tale"  DVD.  If the Sponge Bob generation ever knew what that bitter almond taste was in their food, they would gladly stop drinking from the spout of diluted Bush tainted death juice.  Simple stories expanded into hallucinagenic realities not seen since your last trip into the dark chambers of the devolutionary isolation tank.

Plenty more stuff, but this is what is gonna get the "push" from Multi Layer (Level 3) Digital File service...

Be good.

So this is it... Load Records on MySpace.  Just wanted to use this to let peeps know whats going on with the label, who's touring, that kinda thing.

News:

Men's Recovery Project "Best of" vinyl will be out mid January.. will have this posted and available for mailorder. In stores January 24th, 2006.

Other things to look out for... Impractical Cockpit "To Be Treated" LP/CD... dixie fried coffin scrapings with a healthy dose of desert dust head scratch powder.  Loose and crooked stuff.  Mp3 and band page posted later today... The record will be out Feburary 7th, 2006.

Diskaholics "Live in Japan, v.1" LP/CD out February 21st...  Some travelling sounds from folks in some other bands unleash a beast recorded in the East. You are really not quite ready for this.

March 7th sees the Fat Worm of Error "Pregnant Babies Pregnant with Pregnant Babies" LP/CD coming out...  Sounding like  a droned out zoned out scramble in the supermarket basket carrol amidst a Macy' parade float of costume changes.  Iron Valley in the news.

March 21st:  Wizardzz "Hidden City of Taurmond" - the sounds of butter spill forth from your speakers.  Some guy who plays bass in Lightning Bolt and a Bug Sized Mind confound expectations of what sort of sounds should be played when you buy cars.  Look for this title with a separately sold DVD from Barkley's Barnyard Critters called "Mystery Tale"....

More new stuff not scheduled yet including:
No Fun 2004/2005 DVD
Ovo "Myasthenia" LP/CD
Vampire Can't LP/CD
Metalux/Wiese CD
Noxagt s/t LP/CD
Coughs LP/CD
Gang Wizard CD
...tons more stuff .

Be Good.
