the brave boys of captain gravel entrusted me to help evolve their mostly traditional bluegrass sound into something more electric, psychedelic and experimental. it was a lot of fun.

check out the results here:

the brewery has just acquired a 1983 tascam m-520 mixing board! it's a fine console in great shape. a great piece of analog history to tie everything here together...

i've just uploaded the mastered version of brian ledford's 'the plan'. this song is from brian's record, one of the first to be fully recorded here at the brewery - check it out and enjoy the natural hallway reverb on the chorus and the biggest little amp you'll ever hear at the end!

The new Klum record, which I mixed, is finally out. It's a great record - you should go get a copy - http://www.digstation.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?albumID=ALB000027330.

I've also started a new E.P. with the fantastic Linsday Fuller - promises to be an amazing record!

Look for a new Trespassers William E.P. out in the UK in March on Gizeh Records.

A new record by the great songwriter Brian Ledford should be done soon and out in late winter/early spring. This record will be one of the first records fully recorded here at the Brewery (with mixing done at Avast). Also featuring some excellent musicians and my new favorite reverb: my hallway.

things are taking shape here at the BRC. the new iso booth is just about done, i've started a new record for the talented brian ledford as well as helping a few other bands get some demos done. look for more soon!

new records i've produced soon from: paul lippert (great singer/songwriter with a bit of a protest vibe), rouse (female fronted piano and guitar - like tori amos fronting a shoegaze band) and greg dember (smart singer/songwriter pop).

i also mixed the new klum record. one of my favorite records this year.

very different sounds but great stuff. look for some samples here!
