On ..December 11th 2009.. two of the biggest punk rock bands in ....Ireland.... and one of ....Englands.... biggest punk bands will be hosting their triple headline xmas party gig.
2009 has been a huge year for both Paranoid Visions AND Blood or Whiskey. The former have had two toop 10 download hits, released their most succesfula dn acclaimed album to date, “Beware of the God”, headlined numerous gigs at home and abroad and have expanded their FOAD Musick label to release two compilation albums “the summer of hate” and “the winter of our malcontents” along with a re-release of UK punk legends the Mob’s “let the tribe increase” album. Next year will see the band play Europe and America and will see no less than five releases…”live in fibbers” (picture disc vinyl), “black operations in the red mist” double compilation CD covering the bands 28 year history (vol 2 to follow in 2038), a new, as yet untitled album and “at least” two singles.
Blood or Whiskey meanwhile, having managed to extract themselves from their American record deal, released a single, toured the ....UK...., ....Ireland.... and ..Europe.. and started wiork on their follow up to “cashed out on culture” album. Next year will see the band return to ....America.... and ....Japan.... in support of their next album release. The rest of their back catalogue and the release of the bands catalogue on I-tunes is also imminent.
Special guests on the night will be the two bands friends, colleagues and mutual admiration club members GOLDBLADE. Fronted by the irrepressible John Robb, Goldblade have gained a reputation as being one of the best live acts in punk rock with their mix of rock n roll fused glam punk is a firm favourite in Europe, UK, USA and the far east. Even though the band have spent the past few years constantly touring, John Robb, former journalist with sounds and melody maker has found the time to regularly appear as a music pundit on TV, write as a journalist for the Sunday Times, The Observer, The Guardian, The Independent, several websites, The Big Issue and magazines in Turkey, Algeria, America, Russia and Brazil. He has also penned several books including:

Topping off the bill will be ....Dublin....’s noise merchants Liz is Evil, who have regularly supported Paranoid Visions throughout the year and who’s “Beached” single has been getting a great reaction…expect to hear much more about this band next year.
