Note to readers: I have sucky grammer.

So as some of you know, the 8th of last month (July 09) marks the year anniversary of Hope and I being officially together. I've wanted to write about my side of the story for a while even though some of it is pretty embarrassing or I just get embarrassed easy. Anyway I thought if I was going to write about about it now would be a good time!
It's a little hazey to me just how I happened to find her myspace, but it was the summer of 07 and I was just getting into the cosplay thing. I've been into anime and mostly video games for years so it wasn't hard for me to get sucked into the idea of cosplay (that's a whole other story). A baby con came together in June 07 in Omaha (where I'm from) so I went to a thrift store and pulled together a costume of my favorite video game character, Squall Lionhart.  I had so much fun and I wanted to find more people into the cosplay and anime convention thing. I had a small handfull of guy friends into anime and games but that apparently wasn't enough for me hehe.
I must've been browsing through peoples myspace profiles when I found hers. I remember she had a really cute anime backround and her main picture was of her Rikku cosplay. Her profile was private so I sent a friend request with a message that I'm sure went something to the effect of "you seem cool" or "lookin to make friends into cosplay" lame I know. She added me and I left little, not-too-flirty picture comments like "great pose, looks really good* (I looked back and the earliest comment I could find was July 10th) which was only right since I had a girlfriend at the time >.> But there was no denying how attracted to her I was. Like I said, I only had guy friends who were into the same stuff as me and to find a girl who was not only into that stuff but dressed up in it and was effing beautiful as hell made her kind of unreal to me.
Even after breaking up with my girlfriend at the time I tried not to give my crush on her too much thought since she did live in Texas and I lived in Nebraska. But I'd go to her page sometimes to say hey and read her blogs and bulletins about what her, her sis and friends were up to con wise and not. I definately wished we were friends in real life. I took most every opportunity to make myself noticed to her, like when she said she was taking drawing requests from people who wanted to be drawn. I told her I'd draw her if she drew me. She drew me so cute and loved the pic I drew her, and of course I ate up every bit of compliment she gave. I could fill this blog with loads of little details and comments that made me swoon but I should probly get on with the story and maybe I can not seem utterly pathetic... X)
It went that way for a some months. We'd message eachother now and then, usually starting with me replying to a bulletin. I hung with bros, did my thing, little crushes came and went. Life went on but every once and a while my attraction to Hope would hit me hard. But what could I do? She was out of my league and 15 hours away.
Then in April 08 she put up a bulleting about her getting a cell again and if anyone wanted the number to ask 0.0 So instead of asking I gave her mine and casually said she should text me sometime. Inside I was like "please text me >.<" *sigh* ANYway, a few days later I get a "hey there fella" from an out of state area code. I reply with "I don't talk to people with "555" area codes" they replied "bahaha is that right?"  Of course I knew it was her, and of course I was giddy as an effing school girl. We didn't text much or even flirty at all because I was afraid to come off too strong or creeepy. But we talked enough to fuel my crush on her and make me wish we could hangout.
2008 was awesome. I had made some friends in Omaha who were down with traveling to near by conventions and cosplaying. I kinda dropped out of the music scene and band that I was in and was totally inthralled with my new found hobby. In May we planned a trip to load two cars of full of dudes and go to Acen. Then it happened, my friend Mark whom I'd met at a previous con said he was going to Akon in Dallas Texas and wanted me to come. Frick yes I wanted to go, I already knew Hope was going to be there but it was two weeks after Acen and that'd be a little hard to afford....  "Eff it I'm going" there was no way I was going to miss out on meeting her. Even if it was just saying hi, I could still have a good time and it was another big con.
Acen came and went and was completely amazing. I had posted a few pictures of my Light Yagami cosplay from Acen and Hope left some comments saying she loved it and to be the Light for her Misa *melt*. She hadn't done Misa yet and hadn't planned when she was going to so I didn't think she was serious. Akon was only two weeks away so I half jokingly texted her "If you do Misa for Akon I'll make your Death Note" (yea I was totally serious). She texted "Would you be my Ratio(Light)? That would be amazing of you! Which Misa should I do?" She seriously wanted to do it! I can't express how excited I was. Seriously like a 12 year old girl. Not only was a I gonna get to meet her but I was going to be cosplaying with her. No matter what I had to play it cool. Stay chill, play it cool, not act nervous as crap 0.0

For the past year and a half my friend Brian Hasiak and I have been working on a story together, a graphic novel we're calling Twenty Years One Autumn. While I get to do the drawings Brian is at work with the writings. Read, enjoy, comment.

Twenty Years One Autumn

The birds woke up singing. Black and white birds with no name yet given by a man or woman.

One emerged from a small crack, in between the roof and wall of the handsome farmhouse where he hid his nest. The small thing hopped, left foot, right foot, then off the windowsill and into the morning on black beating wings. The fat white moth struggled in his beak when he came back to the windowsill. With a quick jump the small bird squeezed into his crack with the prize.

Just inside the window Jozef Dannebrog sat on a simple wooden chair. His head drooped forward and eyes half closed. Jozef had been awake now for more than a day.

Siri his wife and Wen Felish, their long time friend who also happened to be Siri's mid-wife, were in the next room.

The baby was coming, eventually.

Occasionally, Jozef would be asked to fetch something: water, food, clean bedclothes but now, the chores were complete and there was only the nervous wait.

From downstairs the thin wail of a teakettle called him down to the kitchen. He pulled the kettle off the burner, poured out the boiling water. Jozef sat down heavily, mug in hand and breathed deep the steeping tea.

When he woke light shone through the windows and the tea no longer steamed. He drank down the cooling tea and shook himself then walked out of the kitchen up the stairs back to his chair.

Jozef stared blankly forward at the red wall.

Wen Felish, a woman of Fifty-some years glasses resting on the end of her nose, opened the door to the bedroom and smiled down at Jozef who was sleeping with his chin on his chest. She put her hand on his shoulder, "Jozef, wake up."

His head slowly lifted and Jozef rubbed his face, "I'm sorry, can I get you something? Must have drifted off."

"Its alright, I will take care of what needs caring for now," She nodding to the basket of sheets resting on her waist. "You should go see that beautiful woman you married and the gift she's given you."

"Its over? I can go in?" Jozef asks already moving through the doorway before Wen can reply.

Siri Dannebrog lays propped-up against pillows looking down at the bundle in her arms, "Come see Jozef, He's wonderful." Jozef sits next to Siri on the bed and puts his hand on hers and for a moment they hold their baby together without speaking.

"We did this?"

"Mostly it was me, but yes- we did." Jozef kisses her passionately.

At the doorway Wen smiles then disappears from sight with the basket.

Jozef notices Wen's bag at his feet kisses his wife and again, "I'll be right back."

Downstairs Wen is pulling on her coat. "Wen!" Jozef hurries down the stairs the mid-wife's bag in hand. She takes it from him. "Thank you, Wen."

She reaches out her hand and puts it on Jozef's cheek and smiles warmly, "Of course. Congratulations Dah-pah Jozef." He picks her up and spins her around, she laughs, "Oh, Jozef I'm an old woman you could break me doing things like that."

"I couldn't, I wouldn't have, it would have been terrible for everyone involved if you hadn't been here for us." He lets her go.

"You remember everything we talked about, his navel and the rest?"

"Absolutely and I wrote it down, in case." He opens the front door.

"Good, I'll be by in a couple of days to check on them." She sighs, "Lots of babies coming. The Thememat's second will arrive shortly. Unfortunately the Melfian's have spawned, as well."

"I didn't know you practiced mid-wifery for sow, Wen."

"That's terrible," She giggles, "but,I am a talented woman, Jozef." She steps off the pourch and into the sun. "Oh yes, almost forgot, tell Siri I saved it and its in the ice box." She frowns slightly, "For a Intelligent woman she does have her superstitions."

Jozef frowns, "I'll tell her. Thanks again."

"Good-bye Dah-pah, go see to your family." She raises one hand and shakes it slightly as she walks toward the barn.

Jozef holds his baby boy in his arms for the first time in the window of the bedroom. "She wants to name you after me." He looks at Siri and smiles, "I think we will need to call you Little, you're so small. What do you think?" The boy yawns and moves his head away from the window.

"You're right, we will sleep on it." Jozef crosses the room and lays down on the bed. Siri stirs but doesn't wake. Jozef watches his wife sleep until his eyes close and he lets himself sleep as well.

Current mood:  blank

these are lyrics.

"The standard insecurities aren't enough" I must've said, I must've spoken it sometime, even if low and deep in rhyme. Strings of light and the golden sparks don't seem to take away my marks of hideaway and overthrown, of secret score destroying tone. So when indoors I'll doubt, fight, and count every flaw that's shown itself. Bend and wish the days away long before my hair's turned gray..

To keep away, simmer away seems right. When the good Lord knows I'd just be bring'n down the sky. Atop the heads of all my loved, intwined in the hair of all I know. Dark, Heavy, and Blind "we'll build our home, dark  heavy and blind we'll build our home".

so's my glass that I'll be wearing, today we speak and tomorrow we keep silent.

end.

Snap,2,3,4 Hallelujah I'm broke turn'n the wheel turn'n the corner I'm no whare near stopping, so much pressure, Ininnate and insecure. Bend is said and takes away the places you cared for.
while immersed all the senses are nullified and in most ways your conjured is magnified secreting every in simple strands and line. Now the concrete it stands apart above us holding both ends in perfect balance, And you'd thing that the pages of basis might bee seen into my hands and just slightly more defined.

a massive end comes to those who wait for it, and so's far as I can see we are the damned, the treasured rebellion.

I have a dad who's name is called Steven. I look like the parts of his bottom lip when we match up. on a good day the bed sheets slash clay are smooth, and on a bad day my fever is very high.
I came out first, so I have lots to say above children, but he's been alive more times than me, so a sixteen year old learns to quit in two plus one years. if you're the one that watched me from behind the trees, you'll know that my estimate isn't accurate.
houses are for families and dinner time, work goes to the front door and secret basement after we breathe and hang on legs, dangle and laugh and colors that can't be told apart with color blinded eye holes.

it's scary outside, and all you people are gone, the air's pull'n hard so heaven take me up: I recall the night before the rapture

scrambling up the stairs, heart's pounding, body's trembling. i'm a child and the clear-cold metal cuts though my room: Can't seem to see your lips move

stand still until it wispers pale and close. bells rang the dozenth hour, bells rand the dozenth..... BELLS RANG! bells rang! BELLS RANG! so stand still, stand still until it wispers pale and close, you can glance but don't hesitate. don't hesi-

icame and youcame close, but i gave and fell to my black left so for it i'm damned, daydreaming's kin to blindness so the dark spirits there took my hand.

I'm in a band called barter the trigger and like every band we have a myspace. on that myspace we have some songs for listening to, and those recordings happen to be over two years old. it's not that we haven't written more (not that we're too quick about that though), we're working on an eight song album and have been since january this year. Now it's not that these things don't take time, but when you're a crappy little independent..."heavy" band, it shouldn't take months to seal the deal on a recording that took three solid weekends to finish (spread out mind you).  I've been anxious to finish an album for as long as we've had  new songs outside the first five song ep. Patients with money issues is something that God continues to give all of us in the band, and we're thankful for that because half the time we don't know where we'll get the money for stuff, and can't recall where money has really come from in the past (no question it doesn't come from shows).  in short, I'm super good at organizing my thoughts as I write...real good at it.

I wanna get that cd done, mixing and mastering here we come...soon as we pick the places
