Hello. What's been up with The Great Crusades? Lots!

We are still hard at work on our seventh studio album, which will be
released later this year if all goes to plan. Photos, sneak peeks, and
video to come soon.

We also wanted to drop you a line to let you know that we will be playing
three shows next week. We will be playing some
new songs and some older
songs, or "crowd pleasers," as Brian Krumm's dad calls them. Our
friends from Germany, Planeausters, will be joining us at all three
shows as part of their first tour of the U.S. Here are some upcoming key events:

On Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time, Krumm will make
an appearance on
Fearless Radio to play a couple new tunes and maybe some live numbers. Tune in:

On Thursday, April 30, we will be playing an "early" show at the Bottom Lounge, 1375
W. Lake Street in
Chicago. Planeausters will start at 8 p.m. and we
will be on around 9 p.m. Immediately after us, the
Norwood Park
All-Stars and Vendooza, both from Chicago, will take the stage. It's
gonna be a great night!

On Friday, May 1, we return to Mike 'n' Molly's in Champaign, Illiniois,
one of our favorite towns to spend rowdy nights and reminisce about
"the old days." The three Brians used to call Champaign-Urbana home,
and Moder visited them quite a bit back in the day. Mike 'n' Molly's is
located at 105 N Market Street in downtown
Champaign.

On Saturday, May 2, it's time to stagger in and stagger out at the
legendary, "acoustically perfect" Stagger Inn Again in
Edwardsville,
Illinois
. Stagger is located at 104 E Vandalia Street in downtown
Edwardsville. Edwardsville is just a stone's throw away from the
childhood home of Moder, Hunt, and Krumm,
Collinsville, Illinois, which
just in case you were wondering is the "horseradish capital of the
world."

On Friday, May 15, Krumm and Leach will be playing an opening acoustic
set as part of the CD release party for the Chicago band The
Somersault Factory. The party will be at the Gallery Cabaret, 2020 N Oakley in Chicago.

Wow! We're back home after (another) whirlwind tour with The Great Crusades. We did 5 shows in 6 days in Germany. One of them was a show at a private boarding school in Holzminden that was quite crazy. Lots of body surfing, slam dancing, and screaming teenagers. Also, made some new friends in Günzburg (and saw some great, old friends), had a blast, as usual, in Arnstadt, partied all night in Wesel--including a visit to the late night disco Baby Doll, and played a GREAT birthday basement party in Düsseldorf. Also, had the opportunity to play with two great bands, Stronzo Konst and Black Rust. Check them out!

Anyway, I expect there will be photos on www.thegreatcrusades.com message board very soon from many of the gigs. Take a look!

Just wanted to send a reminder out about our show at Reggie's Music Joint in Chicago this Friday, Sept. 26, at 9 p.m. We are playing with the fabulous Chicago band The Thin Man.

Hello/Hallo,

Just get me to the airport, put me on a plane. We're all in high gear getting
everything ready for next week's Germany shows and it never seems to slow down
until the sip of that first beer at the airport. We're bringing with us some new
tunes and a healthy dose of the old stuff. We even worked up a trio of new cover
songs for later in the night (hint: We'll be drinking heartbreak motor oil and
Bombay gin.) We'll also have copies of "Key to the City," our retrospective DVD
released in May.

When we get back to Chicago we're playing a show with 2 great bands. BigBang is
from Norway and The Thin Man from Chicago via Newcastle, England. A highly,
highly recommended evening. See details below.

Fall mini tour
-----------------------------------
Sep 18 Günzburg, Germany | Musikbar on the Rocks
Sep 19 Arnstadt, Germany | Kulisse
Sep 20 Wesel, Germany | JZ Karo 10th Anniversary Party
Sep 26 (Fri) | Chicago | Reggie's Music Joint w/ BigBang and The Thin Man

The Pontiac Turns 15
------------------------------------
Easily the worst men's room in the area, always a great place to hang out. We're
playing on SATURDAY, OCT 18th to celebrate 15 years of that thing that only The
Pontiac Cafe can do. It's where the band's Chicago experience all began...and
often ended in a drunken lullaby, random lyric or just a great memory.

That's it for now. We've got a few fall shows and studio updates that we'll pass
along next month.

Hello. After our mini tour in Germany in September, we have some shows coming in the great state of Illinois, two of them are even outside of Chicago!

We will be playing with our friends from Norway, Big Bang on Sept. 26 as a "welcome home" show. In November we will be playing some shows with our friend from Sweden, Mack Johansson (of the fellow Glitterhouse Records' band Hyacinth House). We must like Scandinavians!

We also have been wanting to play with both The Thin Man (Chicago) and Tractor Kings (Champaign, IL) for quite a while now because we are fans of both bands. Here are the dates:

Fri., Sept. 26 Reggie's Music Joint (Chicago) with Big Bang and The Thin Man
Thurs., Nov. 6 Quenchers (Chicago) with Mack Johansson (Hyacinth House) and Tractor Kings
Fri., Nov. 7 Mike n Molly's (Champaign, IL) with Mack Johansson (Hyacinth House) and Tractor Kings
Sat., Nov. 8 Stagger Inn (Edwardsville, IL) with Mack Johansson (Hyacinth House) and Tractor Kings
