Back at my regular blogMarch 31- Condiments, tea parties, and seasoned toasted nuts, also Stolen Sharpie Revolution 2 available for pre-order here. This is the best book about making zines and zine culture EVER, and I posted a new box to Don't Eat the Paste. April 1- My April Fool's post which apparently went one step too far and nobody fell for it, and a bunch of links I like. April 2- Whining about not having the beads I needed, which I wound up picking up at my second favorite bead store in town (I *really* prefer Black Elk, but ABC is open late on Thursdays) and ice box cakes which are nifty no-bake "cakes" that will be great for E's b-day (in July I don't much want to turn on the oven at all) April 3- Lots of information if you are considering donating your hair. April 5- Made bread with some of my homemade yogurt. Turned out well. No pictures right now, but I did finish a pair of earrings and I'm currently working on a second pair.

Back at my regular blog.. A lot of volcano related stuff I'll skip, so in brief, I'm okay, I have particulate masks, and I'm staying in as much as I can stand when ash comes down, which it's only done one day so far. And I think we are up to 19 explosions so far? But I may have missed a couple. March 23- Homemade vanilla extract and a review of the beans I bought to make, glitter accident March 24- DIY links I like, and links to info on that pesky volcano. March 25- Recipe for foot spray, or is it a formula if you can't eat it? Either way, homemade cooling footspray March 26- Set up an Etsy store March 27- Nut and Honey Bread made with spelt flour. This turned out really good, and I even measured so I could write a recipe when it was done. Talked to Pamy about that book idea Teri and I were tossing around. She says it's a good idea, and says my plan sounds well... sound. Which is good to know, she been writing a whole lot longer in the bead world than I have. Today- not yet posted, but it will probably be about the fact I updated Beadwork at BellaOnline with a book review, and maybe a picture of a raven. I'm still in busy busy mode.

Apparently I forgot to update this last week? Whoops. Sorry about that. Back at my blog.. March 11- Started a new blog for printables, Don't Eat the Paste and opened it up with a 1.5 inch cube box with a knot on it, and how much I love free public domain cookbooks on my Kindle 2. March 12- Still sick, but a lot better. Made a molasses and nut bread. Yum yum! March 13- Dairy day. Made creme fraiche and yogurt. Plus Mike found a local community supported agriculture group. March 14- Planning to make yogurt covered raisins with yogurt made from scratch, links to how to make yogurt, a recipe for creme fraiche. March 16- E is making dolls, I'm beading, and somehow I cut my finger which I didn't realize until vinegar got in the cut. OUCH! March 17- Horizontal Tubular Netting tutorial at Beadwork at Bellaonline, finding clock hands, and buying vanilla beans. March 18- Tagged, a meme of 20 questions I answered as best I can. Not that well really. March 19- Jolly Roger earring patterns up at Don't Eat the Paste, on my regular blog, being obsessed with gyotaku and having big gyotaku plans. Also.. hurty whiny cranky day, but I was planning to meet Miss Teri for coffee. March 20- Had a lot of fun with Miss Teri talking about vampires, beads, and science fiction from the 80s, didn't buy *any* books at the book store. To Mike's utter shock. I didn't mention it in my blog, but Mike was looking at Teri's phone and programmed an alarm in it. Posted a new printable at Don't Eat the Paste. (points up at links) March 22- Today! Yay! Had an amazing day yesterday, much shopping, much goodness, much more detail in my regular blog. Also check out Uke Box Heroes and NIN/Jane's Addiction/Sweet Sweeper have an ep available for download with 2 previously unreleased songs by each that you can get here.

Current mood: sick
Back at my regular blog, there isn't a lot going on. I've been sick. *blows nose and looks pathetic* March 2- Threadless has two shirts I want so very much, Bat and Rob, and Red. I love Red most. The chainsaw. Yeah.. that's a girl who's not waiting for anyone to save her from a big bad wolf. Vanilla review, plus sort of instructions for making cocoa properly, and what to do with entirely too many nuts. No, I don't mean Alaskan politicians this time. March 3- Resin cabs, shiny and pretty. March 4- Really a vampire-y day, only you know, without being sparkly, because real vampires don't sparkle. A link to someone's gorgeous bride and groom set of bats inspired by my little bat amigurumi pattern, and a label for blood orange marmalade that I think turned out very cute. March 5- Really super easy to make fresh strawberry freezer jam, my goal was an easy to make small batch freezer jelly that was inexpensive AND that all the ingredients were easily available. This works. Really well, it's a hit with my family. Also- The joy of a new Kindle 2.. which really can't be adequately expressed.. but.. *loves*. Miss Teri, after I'm well.. do you want me to bring it when we meet for coffee? March 7- I'm sick. I was working on a little bit sick all week, but on the 7th I woke up with what for me, is a delirium inducing amount of fever. Honestly? Reminds me of how sick I was when I was a teenager. Which is NOT a good feeling since I was pretty sickly in my youth. But today.. (March 8), I'm starting to feel human, sort of, again. Well... I'm still the before a nyquil ad, but at least.. I'm started to be halfway coherent again.

Back at the ranch, Miss Kitty was trying to decide if it was a day to wear a bonnet, or if she should wear a fish on her head instead. Oh.. well.. maybe not. But the last week in review. February 16- Gift Doily vintage pattern February 17- A dream about an omelette, a poll about an omelette, and circle skirt waist template, meant to cut circles from 34-50 inches in diameter for cutting out waists in circle skirts. February 18- I got a lot of rosemary in the mail, planning a loaf of bread, and working on a template for a common cabochon mold. February 19- We decided "Scarborough Fair Bread" instead of "garlic rosemary" bread February 20- Resin cabochons, getting my ears pierced again. February 21- Going to Michaels, a bit of what I turned up in my research of medieval breads, what bread looks like when it's kneaded to smooth and elastic, and a picture and recipe of the finished loaf of bread. Yesterday- Nothing. Planned to get together with Teri, but after the gym, I was pretty much worthless for the rest of the day. I did bake meringues though.

February 10- tips on bread baking, a raisin-cinnamon loaf recipe I wrote for a friend with my tips, how much I want a Kindle. February 11- Stuffed Wild Yak Yak vintage pattern, stenciling with glitter, and why I can't grow plants. February 12- I did nothing and enjoyed it a lot. Just read all day.
