and well....mixed news, the covers ep + subsequent gop 7"s didn't happen as soon as i had hoped. why you ask? because the borrowed recording gear i've been using for all these 45 or so songs died a horrible death about 2 months ago. i tried all these things to get it fixed only to learn that there is no fix and that this unit is so ancient that a lot of the recorded material will die with it.

the good news about the zombie recordings is that i did finish the first 2 pyrocatechol EP's. i've also got loads of alt mixes, versions & spectorian experiments to mix up and start blasting all over the gop/pyro blog. its not the solution but a means to an end.

instead of complaining about setbacks and/or karma i (david) have taken this a sign from god almighty to head out for a big ol' US tour (as pyrocatechol) commencing in july with no defined end date in site. all these songs are permanently drilled in my head so i will just play them for you. whatever you want. all the time. even the covers. its on.


in other news, good on paper have not broken up they are just enjoying a very nice long sleep. not the big sleep.

So I think I found the best way to post free downloads for you guys to grab on our blog. These will usually be songs that are not available on our my space.

I'll try to post many, many new songs as they are being recorded along with some b-sides, covers, alternate mixes and the like.

So remember that record we've been working on for the last…oh say 3 years? While it is not actually out yet, we have starting posting some unmastered songs here on my space. We've also put up a whole boatload of new photos and various other things to keep you distracted in the meantime.

You can expect some impromptu performances over the next few months...and plenty more hyperbole.

hey so it looks like our summer tour is complete now! we'll have new cd's and lots of gop teeee shirts for your buying consumption as well. word.
