Current mood:  adventurous
For such a long time, people have been telling me 'Margot, you need to post a video of yourself singing live on YouTube'. Hear that mom? lol So I've finally gotten around to doing it! I did a cover of a wonderful song by Whitney. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting us at Crash Mansion. The show went great and we were so happy to see such a good turnout! The show featured all new costumes and choreography as well as a new solo song by the cherryz.
've had the chance to upload a couple of photos of the show and we'll be working over the weekend to get some videos up on youtube.
Have a great holiday weekend everyone!!

Needless to say, I'm so excited about our upcoming show Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to being able to perform on a bigger stage at such a renown venue! Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Janet Jackson, Usher, Beyonce and Jay Z are but a few in the roster of great artists who have graced the stage.

I've been preparing my costumes all weekend and yup, that means more hand-sewing and stitching for me. M&J Trim on Sixth Avenue has become my new favorite place to be.. I must say that I have really begun to enjoy the creative process of being able to create and embellish my own costumes. You'll have to come to the show to experience the whole wardrobe but for I thought I'd post a tidbit of my new hand beaded bustier. The base is from Victoria's Secret and I went all out in stitching white and silver beads along with cut glass and Swarovski crystals. I paired it with a handmade sequin and rosette belt that's tied together with French Silk ribbon.

Hope to see you on Wednesday!!

Very Exciting news! We've just rolled out our brand new radio campaign with The Planetary Group and I just got news that I'm already starting to hit the charts at several stations. I'm #1 on the CMJ Radio Charts at WUMM in Machias, ME and #8 at M3 Radio. Besides that, I've been added by 25 other College Radio Stations since Monday. Big thank you to The Planetary Group!

Also I have info about our next show which will be at Crash Mansion. Info and dates to follow shortly.

Oh and new pics by Vlad are now up! Check em out on my pics page!

I just finished up an awesome shoot this morning with the super talented Vlad Kenner. We put together a unique Marlene Dietrich meets Charlie Chaplin meets New York City inspired look on location in Chinatown which I styled with my own wardrobe collection . I'm really excited about it and was able to rock out in suspenders, gloves and a bowler hat. Hopefully you guys will like it. Stay tuned for new photos that I will post shortly :)

Stay tuned for updates but I just wanted to post that we have exciting news coming up. Leather and Lace has been selected for a TV and Ad campaign for a company based in Corning, NY. The commercials should air pretty soon and I'll post updates once they're up.

Also, we're preparing to partner with a great promotions company (they've worked with artists such as The Foo Fighters, Beastie Boys, Ben Folds Five, Jamiroquai, Jason Mraz and David Bowie to name a few on their humongous roster). They'll be working hand in hand with me to get me up on radio stations across the country!

More to come soon!

We had a great show last night! Thanks to everyone who came and supported us! We packed up Arlene's Grocery and it was an amazing turnout!

The show is still growing and still changing as we involve more people and more aspects into the production, choreography and staging. I'm working with The Wild Cherryz on more involved choreography and we've just brought a lighting expert, Chris, into the team to create a more visually interesting effect with lighting.. I'll post some pictures soon but for now I just want to thank everyone for coming and showing your support.

I woke up this morning in just as much shock as I was in yesterday by the recent development of events. Personally, I believe that Michael Jackson's contributions to the world of music are unparalleled and I believe he will remain the most influential artist of our generation.

I can't even remember the first time I heard his voice on the radio, because I was so young and his music was already ingrained in my mind by the time I was 5 years old. Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat it, Man in the Mirror.. Not only incredible and revolutionary songs for the time but I think that, to me and to alot of other people out there, these songs represent our childhoods. Others grew up listening to The Beatles or Elvis...  I grew up with MJ.

As an artist, he has influenced me in more ways than I will ever even realize. His voice, his dancing, his choreography, his songwriting, his artistry. Thank you for changing my life, making me discover music and become a better artist Michael. May you rest in peace.
