R.L.G - R.I.P (2005 - 2007)
It looks like it has finally happened, the roller coaster ride that was Red Light GO has ground to a halt - there's been some highs, there's some lows. Some 57 gigs down the line after the first gig at Bar Excellence in Bristol on 9th March 2005, we played our final gig at legendary punk venue the Hope and Anchor in London on 29th December 2007 - treading the same boards that were once trod by the likes of Joy Division, The Specials, Madness, Ian Dury and the Stranglers.
A big thank you to all who have been involved -
Mark Trueman, Tom Hammond, Rob Wright, Steve Nelhams, Anna Parry
Mark Ireson, Mat Mohangee, Richie Jobson
Paul Bradley, Craig Macallister and Tom Bradley
Leo Nine for producing the (to date) one and only album
The loyal people who have followed us over the years:-
Hazel, Steve, Jana, Chris, Bev, John, Brendan and Anna, Victoria, Cleone, Jane, Liz, Mark and Julie, Kate and Phil, Stu and the rest of the Franks (for some great support shows) and everyone else who has crossed our path.
It's been fun, we played some good gigs and left our mark - however small that may be. You can definitely say that wherever we played we entertained and that we had some catchy pop tunes which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of bands who just expect it to happen.
I still think that there is another album in there and a hit single with the right backing - If you wanna give me a million quid to do it - I'm sure i could re-plug the life support and get a new R.L.G together and we'll tour the world and elsewhere.
So What next ? Watch this space !
Peace, Love and insanity
