As of late, I've been getting a lot of questions about our newest song, "No More Heroes", so I decided just to write a blog about it and explain it a little bit and go ahead and post the lyrics here as well.
The idea of the lyrics came to me after watching television all day and realizing that
the important things that are really out there just keep getting buried under
stories about Britney Spears custody battle or about who had the most plastic surgery lately or bought the most ridiculous house.
These are todays heroes it seems and they're not the same as yesterday's.
Anyways, the song is a hypothetical story about an actress who gets caught up in the business and loses everything at the expense of her own self-indulgance.
"True courage is not the brutal force of vulgar heroes, but the firm resolve of virtue and reason."
-Alfred North Whitehead.
Glad you guys are liking the new songs and we're exciting about finishing up our E.P. and seeing you all at future shows.

cheap hotels and restaurants and alleyways
is where you have to stay
the lights begin to fade
she says:
i got this tattoo that stands for
seize the day
take a look under the microscope
under the watchful eye
of magazines and spies
a darkened theater is where they used to show you
in your prime
turn the lights out
you're nowhere
its so typical
there's no more heroes
no direction where to go
results not typical
of anyone at all
24 frames a second
now our lives are intertwined
with silver spoon in hand
the final walk that leads out of the frame
and the day will come
when they forget your name
a silent sparkling alchemy
runs up to the balcony
to hide your shame
there's no more heroes left
24 frames a second
