If this was my last moment, If today was my last day

There would be so many things to so many people I'd like to say.

So many choices.  What would I do?

Simple, I'd call you.

I'd share my moment, youd never forget

I'd make the call so wed never regret

the things we meant to do, the things we meant to say

Everything can happen in one second and be there to stay.

All of our issues, arguments, and things unresolved

Amazing, isn't it, how easily they are solved.

If this was my last moment, I'd want to see your face

Due to our distance I'd have to call your place.

If I got your voicemail, which regrettably I may.

I'd record my voice for you later to play.

I'd tell you everything in few words so true.

All I'd have to say, "I            love         you."

I wouldn't worry about rules.  I wouldn't worry about rhyme.

If I could tell you I love you and you'd relay my love,

that's all that truly matters, isn't it?

Not money, problems, a broken heart or a battered ego, not any other.

Only love.

You are behind my most beautiful memories. 

You were always my inspiration.  Without you I never would have lived.

I told you this all and feared you'd send cops my way.

You eyes filled with tears and you smiled so big and so true.

Its all so strange, and so crazy, that all of these to you were alright.

I expected so differently, I expected your goodbye and your flight.

Together we are amazing, what a team we've become.

As any team goes, we're the happiest one.

I took the biggest risk and to you I did reveal.

I took a wild shot with a guess that your heart I could steal.

I read you this poem and handed you a simple red rose.

Softly and sweetly I kissed you on the nose.

All our differences, they made no matter.

For all old perceptions we were created to shatter.

Although our families mind our different religion, age and race.

They will come along fast when they meet us together face to face.

Fearless

I stand before you today unafraid.

I proclaim I am here, standing again, after the hits, falls, and many mistakes!

Im strong in my commitment to my dream.

From every mistake I learn and push forward.

At every opportunity I pick up the pace moving my loved ones forward too.

I wake up thinking about my dream. 

I rise, create lists, and conquer all my tasks.

I dont rest or celebrate until I earn these rewards.

I earn them often therefore I treat myself very well.

I stand before you today unafraid.

Ive been working toward my dreams for years. 

I have found some of my roads lead me in the right direction.

I have found some of my roads have taken me astray. 

I continue to search for the correct path.

I have the patience and endurance I need to never, ever, give up.

I am not seeking an easy journey, a free ride, or a highway.

It is the correct route I will find, even if its a dirt road, bumpy and damaged.

I stand before you today unafraid.

Forward progress, persistence, courage, strength, commitment, and victory play large roles in my life.

Fear also plays a role, and helps me along.

I use fear to help guide me and in this way I remain truly fearless.

If I feel afraid to contact someone, I know I must do it and I make the call.

If I feel afraid to ask for help, I request the help from the source that makes me nervous.

If I feel afraid to take the next step, I let my feet lead the way and steps are taken!

Im not afraid to invest my money in my dream.

Im not afraid to live in a small apartment when I could own a large house.

Im not afraid to be looked at as a dreamer. 

Im proud to chase dreams and I am honored to be put in a class with Walt Disney, Einstein, and many other crazy dreamers.

Im not afraid to get my hands dirty and get down to WORK.

Im not afraid to risk everything including comfort and reputation to follow my true calling.

I stand before you today unafraid.

I I will take responsibility, I will take the lead, I will step forward.  It is I and no other.

STAND Push me down!!  Ill get back up!  Youd better bring an ARMY and yet I will stand again!

BEFORE  - Before the success, and after the success you will still still see the real me.  Ive always been here, unchanging, unafraid.

YOU The one who doesnt appreciate or understand HER true power.  The one I hope takes every one of these words to heart and moves forward towards HIS dream!

TODAY Not Tomorrow.  Not yesterday.  Well start today.  Well continue today.  It all happens now.  We do NOT postpone priorities.  We move beyond thought and take actions today.

UNAFRAID using fear as an ally.  Accomplishing things boldly, beyond the critics, beyond extreme difficulty, beyond even our own beliefs and expectations.  Heroic.  We win together, boldly.

"I'm Pleased to Please You"

This morning you couldnt sleep.  When you needed some relief at 2:15 am I was happy to wake up and give you a full body massage for an hour which set you off to a wonderful sleep.

You woke up to the smell of fresh baked bread, eggs, pancakes, sausage, and hash browns.... cooked to perfection.  You were served in bed.

When you got out to your car a short poem expressing my love for you was peeking out from under your windshield wiper and a chocolate rose was affixed to your dashboard.

When you turned on your car stereo the new John Mayer CD you wanted surprised you by starting up immediately on the song you adore, Wonderland.

When you arrived at work your phone buzzed with a text from me saying simply, I believe in you.  Win today.

When you got to your desk you found a surprise picture of us in a small gold frame.  The cruise.  Yes I look silly.  You look absolutely stunning, as always.

When you called my cell at 9:37, 10:11, 11:03, 11:11, 12:19, 1:51, 2:10, 3:30, 4:07, 4:26, 4:34, 4:39, 5:01, 5:21, and 5:30, I picked up every single time and could do nothing but smile and listen to your amazing voice and laugh.  Many important people and tasks had to wait.  They had no choice.

When you realized the report you needed was left on our kitchen table you texted me.  I snuck out of the office, ran home and delivered your report in person with a soft kiss and a warm embrace.

When you were hit on by the guys working at our company you blushed and thanked them, but reminded them that you were happily in a relationship.  You exited with strength and loyalty.

When you returned to your office you heard my voicemail:  Meet me at 7, Love.  Gladstones is the place.

When you got lost on the way to the restaurant, I got on Mapquest and got you turn by turn from 8022 Sunset Avenue all the way to your seat overlooking the ocean at Gladstones.  Your favorite wine was ready at the table when you arrived.  You looked remarkable and I knew you would.

When we got home you snuck up behind me and surprised me with my favorite cologne.  How did you find it?  They dont make this anymore!  You then sung me our song softly as you caressed the ivory keys of the piano.  Incredible.

When I walked up the stairs I began to notice rose pedals and a flickering light in the distance.

You stood there in the dark with a single candle in your hand, looking more beautiful than Ive ever seen you.  The look in your eyes said more than has ever been expressed by words.  This moment will never be lost with many other moments unimportant. 

There was a bottle of champagne chilling in ice and a bubble bath drawn

We exchanged cards and kisses. 

My card read to you: 

My love.  I know Im the luckiest man on Earth to be the recipient of your love.  I look forward to the next 50 years, as these 50 past have been the best for which anyone could ever hope.  I know we already celebrated our 50th during the 3 week getaway, but I couldnt resist at least this card as today marks the day.  Not a day goes by that Im not thankful for your love. I love everything about you.  I love you, my inspiration, my reason for everything, my angel, my love.

My darling.  I cant imagine a life without you.  These years have gone by like lightning-fast moments.  I look on with excitement and thrill.  What could possibly be next?  I cant stop thinking of you, whats been, and what will be.  You are my world.  You are the man of my dreams.  You are my hero.  You are our childrens hero.  Dance with me through eternity.  One day well look back on tonight, our 50th, laughing and marveling at how this was only the beginning, how young we are, and how in love we stayed.

Silent tears fell, you brushed them off of my smiling face.

It feels just like our wedding night, which seems as if only yesterday.

A Nobody Trying to Become a Somebody

Im a nobody from nowhere but I have dreams, baby!

One day Ill be somebody. 

What do I have to do?

Ill do anything!  ANYTHING.

Im ready for the big show!

Im a nobody from nowhere that just moved somewhere!

I can feel it.

I can smell it.

My dreams are close. 

My dreams live here.  Not back in our tiny town.

My dreams will be realized in this big city!

Time to network.

Time to make dreams a reality!

Im a nobody from nowhere who just met a BIG older fish.

One day Ill be somebody.

What do I have to do?

Just snap and Ill jump!  Im good!  Youll see!

Im ready.  Could use a great mentor! 

Is it you?

Im a nobody from nowhere that just got offered a BIG job by this BIG older fish.

BIG older fish is going to be my teacher!  Under the wing I go!!  Awesome.

Only one catch..... I have to sell my body to get the job and to get the coaching.

What do I do?

Seems obvious. 

Gotta get the job, right? 

Grab a good mentor while the getting is good, right? 

This could save me some time and a ton of work!

I said Id do ANYTHING.  I meant it. 

What an opportunity!

That big job lead to another big job but could I have gotten in without selling my body?

Not sure that is important.  Just curious.

No time for a major debate though; busy here!

For now Im very happy!  Im on the move, baby. 

Things are great.

Im a new someone from nowhere that sold their body to get a job and to get a life.

People look up to me!  Im making a ton of money!

Could life be better?

I didnt really sell my body

The more I think of it. 

It was just a fling. 

We were two attractive people that would have done that anyway.

Im on top of the world!

Ive been turning down projects left and right because I only have time for so much!

What a life!!

Lots of money.

Would love a life partner. But nobody is good enough.   Around every corner there is someone more exciting!

Cant settle for just one.

Life is too short!

I just bought a BIG house and a car .youve NEVER seen a ride like mine!!

Its the life. 

That hard work I put in was all worth it

It was a tough couple months at the bottom, let me tell you!

I guess that stuff just cant be taught.

It has to come naturally.

Some of us are just lucky!

Everybody wants something from me but nobody wants to know the real me.

They are so new and open.

I feel like there was something I wanted to say to this person when I met them a warning of some sort but I cant remember. 

Probably nothing.

Im the original BIG FISH.  I can offer people money, jobs, and power.

People fear me.  They should.  I can make or BREAK them! 

I think I like the breaking.

Ill offer my new friend a chance to be under my wing and a big job in return for a sizzling hott night of pleasure! 

WHY not?

I deserve it!

They cant break in without me thats for sure!  Its a tough business!

The passion was INTENSE!  So intense in fact, my nobody from nowhere actually had tears before, during, and AFTER!

Did you know it's possible to start again? 

Right now.

Continuing, or not changing things, while passive, is still a choice.

It's a choice NOT to start over, just as it's a choice to start over.

So if you like:  Start over!!  Shake things up!

Risk. 

Sometimes you'll be better off. Sometimes not.

You'll ALWAYS win, though, because you'll always learn.

Having doubts about your relationship?? 

LEAVE IT.  Take a month or 2 away.  No contact.  No communicating

By the end of the 4 8 weeks. It's doubtful you'll want it back (although there will be some times where it's tough.  I've DONE this.  Don't get me wrong.)

Your job has been hell for a while??  QUIT!!  New Beginnings!

You don't have to be miserable.

These are choices at your disposal.

You have SO much more power and many more choices than you DREAM possible.

When you live this way 90f the stress you experience is gone!

There are so many opportunities in your life you can't count them BUT.. you have to be able to recognize them.

Start your own company!!  Be your own boss.

I've done this a few times.

My last 2 companies are doing very well.  I don't have to work for anyone else and may never have to again!

This has proven most beneficial when dealing with certain Hollywood big-shots that would like to think I need them to make my projects go.  I do NOT.

I'm not worried about any ONE opportunity there are simply too many!!

New beginnings!!

You can always start over.  Start again.

Try things.

MOVE.

Don't be afraid to risk.

Pursue YOUR dream!

Are you an actor?  GET TO LA (for film / TV)  or NEW YORK (for theater).

Get where your dreams CAN come true!

Show your kids they can pursue theirs one day.

You do not have to continue.

Start again.

Take a new class.  Study.  Try things!!

Shake it up!

Be bold.

New Beginnings. 

It's your choice.

"Runaway Train"

Does your life sometimes feel like a runaway train?

Like it's moving so fast and you can't stop it or steer it?

Can you even hear the call? "ALL ABOARD!!"

I'm here to tell you... I've been there! Felt that.

I know how that is.... however I realized something important:

I can stop the train.

I can even make the train turn where there is NO track!

I can turn the vehicle into a hover-craft.

I can do whatever I FULLY decide to do and commit to do!

I've stopped my train... and pursued a new course. I've found a way to pay my bills ENTIRELY by pursuing what I love the most!

You CAN too. It's up to you.

Sound familiar? "If you believe it you can achieve it?"

it's no crock!! It's absolutely the TRUTH.

Just believe you can change your life, your course of direction, your dreams, your familys unsupportive ways...

believe it and you CAN.

you CAN start today... leading the life YOU WERE MEANT TO lead.

it's all up to you.

You CAN start learning guitar I dont care if you are 64. You CAN start learning a new skill no MATTER your age! Become an actor. Start at 42. There are many greats that started AFTER you. If its ever been done, it CAN be done by you.

Start painting, start learning photography. Start or continue anything you love. Be bold.

STOP thinking that you have to do what you are doing.

Pursue your dreams on the side. Show your children they too can follow their dreams.

Lead by example. Your friends and family will never be able to show you how much it meant to them to see you do this and then they start following their dreams too!

Your life is NOT a forced chugga chugga chugga chugga CHOO CHOOOOOO! You can get off this runaway train whenever you pull the cord!

You are not on a runaway train.

"A Valentines Day Poem from Me to You"

Hello beautiful, you know, we've never met.

It's Valentines Day in '06, that's where it's been set.

A poem from me, I offer you this little ditty,

sitting here with the wondrous, Lupie, my kitty.

Be my Valentine and I'll be yours today.

We'll be together by the time it is May.

What's that you say?  You say it's too long?

It can be faster.  I'll sing you a song!

I'm told I'm good.  You'll like my voice.

I hope you will listen.  You do have a choice.

I have a request.  Will you sing to me too? 

I'd like to hear your voice, of course it is true.

Now you've said yes.  You've made me so happy.

To that I look forward.  It's romantic, not sappy.

I live a full life and I see so do you.

Life becomes different when it has two.

You tell me.  Is it a good thing or bad?

When you are alone do you feel sad?

Together is more fun.  That's what you say.

We plan and we plot.  Let's take it this way:

We'll share a moment we'll write on Myspace.

Not yet on the phone, not ready, too fast

There is no rush.  No hurry.  Time's past.

Emails are sent.  Like passing a note back in school.

This is all quite silly, but I tell you, it's cool.

Both of us romantics, we do love this game.

We take our time.  Friends say that it's lame!

Fascination felt by both.  This point is so true.

I love this time spent, special moments with you.

This is so right.  It's all become very clear.

Soon we're together.  We sit and we dream.

Together we're better.  We find we're a team.

When I look back, I sit and get chills.

So much has come to us.  Frills, spills and great thrills.

So strange, how it started.  It's really quite funny.

All innocent and sweet.  And cost us no money.

It was on Myspace.  All of it happened online.

You sent me a comment with letters that shine.

I looked at your picture, my heart skipped a beat.

Our life with excitement, it's all such a treat

Let me tell it fully, I say to you true

None of this planned, it all just came through

I wanted to ignore this day, but I couldn't.

I saw your profile and knew that I wouldn't.

Something real happened when I saw your face.

Such a surprise my heart reached a great pace.

Was this cupid's work with arrow and bow?

Perhaps yes, maybe no, we may never know.

That's what all could happen, you just can't yet tell.

With great sounds, touch, taste, sight and smell.

“Things Happen for a Reason”

Life is fascinating!

Everything happens for a reason.  It’s truly a funny deal.  Life works it out that way.

You’ll accomplish more in this life and more importantly, you’ll be happier if you really observe why things happen and learn from them.  That turns some negative events into positive events.  That also most certainly increases the positivism in your life!

(Some events in your life will not ever be positives… but there are positive aspects of everything and learning can and should take place from everything…. Hear me out: )

If you like to think of it as god, time and circumstance, the power of people, whatever, here – let’s refer to it as a combination of some or all of the above as “life.”

Life has lessons for us in all things.

I truly believe this.

Life works things out for a reason.  There is a lesson in EVERYTHING – if we search for it.  The reason is easily found (in some cases more easily than others… but search!  It’s a positive challenge).

Become a detective in your life.  No matter how terrible the circumstance – start searching… “What is the lesson in THIS?”

“Why has this happened to me?  In what way can it make me stronger?  What can be gained from this experience?”

YES – I’ve had some rotten things happen to me…. But do I think of them as negative?  Bad?  Rotten? 

No.

Do I wish they never happened?  NO.

Not even my greatest heartbreak.

Not the accident that should have claimed my life – where I woke up in the hospital with an IV attached to me, and amnesia!  Haha… I didn’t know what year it was, or what city I was in, what happened to me…. Worse yet, I had no short term memory retention so I continued to ask the same questions for about 3 hours!  (2 nights later I won the first round of a Ping-Pong tournament that I went on to win entirely).

There is a lesson in it!

There was a lesson in it when I recently fell deeply in love…. (actually there were MANY) ultimately realizing this is not the woman for me… ending the relationship and crippling my own heart for 6 months!

There was a lesson in it when I crashed and broke that windshield with my face.

I’m experiencing neck pain this very moment…

There is ALWAYS a lesson.

People often ask me:  “What is your secret to your happiness?  “How can you be SO truly positive?  How can you continue to give so much when so many only take?”

I fully understand and apply this powerful concept.  A day never goes by without learning.  I am a “Life’s Lessons Detective!”  I’m a good one.  You can be too!

Just search…. You’ll find yourself captivated.

“Thankful”

I’m very thankful.  I’ve had many letters with the question:  WHY are you so happy?

Well – let’s take a look and let’s play a game!  (you’ll add to the list if you like)

I’m thankful for many things.  If you haven’t counted your blessings lately – check out this list.  You’ll find you have many of these things too.

I’ll start us off with 10 things for which I’m thankful.  Then you comment on the blog that goes with this post.  Add a minimum of 3 things and a maximum of 10 that are NOT covered on the list.  If any is repeated, I can’t approve your contribution to the game – so look at my list….
