I'm hiring. I'm busy enough to be behind on the highly important parts of my job such as billing, accounting, and organizing. I need an organized assistant doing those critical things that keep me out shooting all week(end).
I need you, if you're brilliant at: Data entry. My billing and accounting software can't enter its own numbers! My calendars won't enter their own events! What's up with that? Can you help? Organizing electronic info. Are you comfortable downloading and uploading (Flickr, FTP)? Do you know how give love to Excel and photo organizing software? MySpace. You're here, right? Have you pimped out your page? Do you send bulletins? Blog some? I need all that on the multiple MySpaces that I maintain. Getting stuff done. I've got the first 85% done. I need someone to bring it all home. Mailing prints, sending emails, scheduling clients... billing them! Filing. Man, do I have filing. Both the paper and e-kind. Part time work. You'll work independantly, bring your own ideas, and keep a regular, reliable schedule. You can have a life and do this job!
I would love you, if you: Have familiarity with Photoshop. A lot of what I do is "getting stuff on the web," which means basic photo editing and resizing. Familiarity with HTML. No coding or anything like that, but can you figure it out if a link isn't working because a ":" is missing? I'd love that. Love local music. Goes without saying, right? You'll get to meet a lot of artists and hear what they're doing right now. It's a pretty cool job.
So, interested? Know someone? EMAIL me at katemackley AT gmail dot com and tell me why I want to hire YOU!

I've said some here, and photos here, and Cindy says many things here. We will miss you very much, Carter. You were a chunk of the soul of the music. Goodbye. Carter Albrecht, 1973-2007.

Bear with me here. I'm gonna to ask you to take a big intellectual leap. I love Zefrank. He thinks so I don't have to. But he got me thinking about branding and its "emotional aftertaste." Watch this: The Show 8/29/06 and tell me, which brand would you most prefer to be associated with if YOU were a writer? The Observer? TexasGigs? The Fine Line Live? yeah, me, too.
