All is well in the South camp, we are currently rehearsing new material stretching the boundaries off our style with a more technical approach to the music, but still keeping that melodic core!

Also looking forward to playing with 'Plinth' this weekend in Cleere's(Kilkenny) as they launch their new E.P. If your around please don't hesitate to drop in. It's €5 ADM including a copy of their CD which is a great deal so take advantage. Our CD along with 'Strands' from 'The Lions Mane' will also be available to purchase on the night!!

Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone who came along to the launch of 'Insula' in Whelan's on Friday night with Sticky Digit & The Lions Mane. We had a great night and we hope you enjoyed it too.

'Insula' is OUT NOW!!! Unfortunately there's been a delay with www.southofficial.com but the website will be launched in the next few weeks.

For now if you'd like to purchase a copy of our debut album you can just send us a message here on MySpace or drop into  RollerCoaster Records on Kieran Street.

The album will become more available in the coming weeks both online and in more music shops.

Tomorrow night we're launching our debut album 'Insula' upstairs in Whelan's (Dublin). Joining us on stage are Sticky Digit and The Lions Mane (who are launching debut offering 'Strands').

The second episode of the Making Of Insula is now online, if you missed Episode 1 then click here to watch it.

The new episode picks up where the last one left off, showing the missing bits from the recording of 'Downpour', along with a little insight into some of the difficulties Daw had when recording himself playing the drums. There's also a sneak peek at some of our newest guitar riffs and bass lines for songs that will appear on the album and a music video sequence to 'Symmetry'.

And finally; thanks to everyone who came down to see us at the One Take Sessions last night, we really hope you enjoyed the gig. If you missed it then don't worry, we'll be back in Cleeres for a full electric gig with the Lions Mane on Saturday 25th July.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we're playing at the One Take Sessions tomorrow night in Cleere's Theatre. Doors open 9:30pm and admission is FREE! There's also three more acts on the bill so there's no excuse for not coming along.

After a long wait we're delighted to announce The Making Of Insula Episode 1 is now online!

The first installment shows us setting up our gear in the Mill Studios last April to begin recording Insula. There's also an exclusive sneak preview of our previously unheard song 'Downpour'. So watch the above video and let us know what you think!
