Slice the Pie is an opportunity for you to help yourself to a piece of the music industry.  It's where you have an opportunity to invest in your favorite artist.  If your artist wins the £15,000 recording contract, your investment will pay you a dividend of record sales.  I am currently up for funding & need your help. Artists must be in a Showcase to raise finance.  (Which I am)

There are two ways to get there:

Receive high ratings from Scouts in the Scout Rooms; or
Demonstrate that you have over 5,000 real fans who are eager to finance you on Slicethepie.
Once in a Showcase Artists must raise a minimum of £15,000. If an Artist does not raise the funds after 6 months, they will have to start again via the Scout Rooms.

Non US Investors are also entitled to receive Contracts in the Artists which enable them to benefit from the financial success of the album.

Hello to all fans!!  I just want to say a HUGE thank you for putting me through to the top 16!!! and top 4 girls!  I can't believe there are only 2 girls in the top ten this year, lets vote vote vote for Amberly and Katherine!! 

Thought i'd let you guys know how my experience was!  I had a total blast! it as so much fun, I even enjoyed the stress and pressure!  i totally felt in my element!  I loved all the people I met there, and even the staff, they are all so much fun.  I'm going to miss getting up early and workshoping and rehearsing with the best band in Toronto!  It was quite the emotional roller coaster though. 

I may move to Toronto to pursue music and I'm also going to LA for a bit too, there is a label/manager who is interested in me and he is also a great writer and producer!  We are going to write and record! I'm planning on recording Zombie just like i did it on the show!  For those of you who didn't see my performances check it out!

Canadian Idol airs on CTV Monday & Tuesday with the results show airing on Wednesday. 

Remember you can vote for 2 full hours after the show - that means you can vote about 700 times in 2 hours.

There's a company in the UK that has chosen 20 artists from 1000's of artists to be selected for a recording contract worth $30,000 CAD.  It's been narrowed down to 20 artists & I'm lucky enough to be one of them. Local songstress Katelyn Dawn will join the likes of Greta Garbo and Cary Grant, when a world-renowned portraitist arrives in Winnipeg to paint her picture next weekend. Dawn, who celebrates the release of her new album, The Window, caught the eye of painter Kenneth Hari via her myspace page. Hari, whose works have been displayed in the Vatican and the National Gallery in London, will be in town April 25-28 to capture the young singer's image.
