OK we've been quiet lately. Everything has to wind down - and that time's come for The Shakes. We managed to half-recorded the album, but the commitments of playing in a band got too much for us to carry on

Thanks for the support. We'll keep this page up and put all the songs on download so you can have them. And you can still watch all our videos on Youtube.

But it's not the end.

Ed's spent the last 8 months writing and recording new songs with soul girl Amber. He's behind the keyboards and drum machines and she's the new voice. So we've got a brand new sound, an album of finished tunes and a new name.

We are HEADS HEARTS

::: Have a listen. There's free downloads all this week :::

Add us if you like it. Here's to more good times.

Look down our page and you'll see a video of what happened when we played a stupid game involing cards and punching after some beers. Makes quite a cool DIY video to the new single. Here's the youtube link, in case you reckon anyone else'd enjoy it.

This New Year we're going to stop breaking cars and losing stuff. Last year we had 4 car breakdowns. 2 were bad luck but 2 were self-inflicted because we're idiots. In the same vein, I'm not going to leave expensive synthesisers on pavements outside bars in Hoxton. Because when you come back, they're not there any more. A lesson learned. Probably.

Things keep getting better and better.

We've just heard Liberty Jones will be picking up plays on some very cool US radio stations. Indie 103.1 in LA, 94.7 KNRK in Portland and 102.7 WEQX in New York are all giving it a spin.

The Shakes conquer The States? We shall see...
