Greeting friends! The holiday season is upon us, so here is our capitalistic update:

First off, I must say a HUGE THANK YOUUUUU to everyone who has ordered the Save Pegasus pack so far! You guys are really pulling through for us, and hopefully you'll appreciate the pack we're putting together for you. (For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Lis26c0lg to learn more.) Anyway, those Save Pegasus packs are only available to order until DECEMBER 8TH, and I've decided (after much calendar assembly) that the calendars will have the same cutoff. 

The exciting NEW news about holiday merch is that I've finally just posted our 2 Xmas specials! We've got a tasty one that is a tAD coffee mug plus some whole beans from Coffee Labs Roasters (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tarrytown-NY/Coffee-Labs-Roasters-INC/42904292090) - thanks to our good friend Danielle, and a music-lover's special that includes both our cds AND the Endless Bummer soundtrack AND the Hours and Hours Seaweed tribute album!

Dear friends and colleagues, 

Many of you are already aware of the rough times we endured on our last tour in relation to Pegasus, our large and intimidating van. She died on us, and demanded a very costly spa treatment to rejuvenate her. Of course, we had to comply, or else we would have been stuck in New Jersey.

Yo, dudes- how goes it? We are at the tail end of our east coast tour with Sick of Sarah and Denora. If you haven't yet, check both bands out as they are amazing and some of the sweetest people we have ever toured with. I'll just give you the quick rundown: we drove something like 50 plus hours in three days to join the tour, we bought a new battery somewhere along the line, M and I worked on our telepathy, we broke down in Jersey, we bought a new transmission, we rocked some vegan hot wings in New York, we walked around Brooklyn pretending we lived there, we had an abortion protest next to our show in Milwaukee, we had the mother of all after-parties in Wisconsin and the neighbor complained about our Bryan Adams fueled slow dance jam at 4 in the morning, we drank too much coffee in Chicago, and tonight we are rocking some serious homecoming party action at the University of Illinois.
So, in a couple days Jake and I fly out to be in a friends wedding and Jaycen and M continue on a'la "More than Words" Extreme style so make sure you check out those shows. Then, we are all meeting at home to begin work on our upcoming slab of ear candy for all of you beautiful people. I'll leave you all with an immediately regretted incident caught on film in Michigan. Hey friends, it's only a few days now until we leave for our east coast tour!!! We are definitely reallllllly looking forward to getting over there again -- it's been way too long, don't you think? Anyway, I've got lots of news for you. First off, our tour with Sick of Sarah and Donora ends kinda abruptly on October 14th in St. Louis, Missouri. We are cutting out a little early because both Matt and Jake need to get back to California to be in a wedding that weekend! How romantic. Now, you might be thinking to yourself, "Where does that leave Jaycen and Em... and Fuzzy?" Well, St. Louis IS far from home for us, and somebody has to drive Pegasus back to her nest... so we're gonna be playing a few semi-acoustic Action Design shows on the way!! We don't exactly know what the music will be like, because it will be just the 2 of us, but we're gonna do full sets. It should be really fun & informal -- we'll just be hanging out having a good time playing 2-person versions of our songs. So we just added Dallas, and we're looking into adding a few more southwestern shows on our way back to CA. See, we didn't forget you, southwest! Second, we just acquired the ability to charge credit cards AND use paypal at our shows!! There is a minimal fee for using this payment method, but just think of how easy it will be! No need for an ATM!! And third, yes, the Action Design Book Exchange is still on!! We've picked up some really awesome books along the way, so make sure to stop by the table and have a look-see. You don't have to bring a book to take one, though that is preferable. We just want everyone to share, and there are a few books that haven't been picked up yet! Please commit all this to memory because you will be tested on it when you get to the show. And don't forget to check our show schedule -- we might be playing a show in your town! Dear Myspace friends, Greetings! This message is coming to you because WE are coming to you on our fall tour in a few weeks!!!! We are SO excited!! Anyway, the main reason I'm writing is because we need some help with the putting up of posters. I have a stack of posters to mail out, and I need one person from each city to accept this mission! However, I would like to point out that we need people who WILL put up posters and not just keep them all or leave them in a stack under their Maxims. It costs us money, not only to print the posters, but also to ship them out to you. Money that we could be using for gas. But the hope is that if people like you put up a few posters at some local coffee shops and/or record stores, there will be a few more people at the show. The more people at the show, the better! Then we will be happy instead of sad. We've done this once already for the west coast, and it seemed to work pretty well! Basically, I sent out between 5 & 10 posters to all of the areas (unless someone indicated they had more spots to post than that, or a whole team of people). I asked people to put them up in strategic spots -- spaces where business owners have allowed you to post, as opposed to taping them to a random pole where they'll get torn down the next day. But, of course, you know your own town the best. So I put the responsibility in your hands. Here are the towns/cities where we're playing: Oklahoma City, OK Atlanta, GA Washington, DC Hamden, CT Asbury Park, NJ Southbridge, MA Poughkeepsie, NY Philadelphia, PA Brooklyn, NY Kent, OH Cincinnati, OH Chicago, IL Ft Wayne, IN Pontiac, MI Milwaukee, WI Janesville, WI Urbana, IL Kansas City, MO St Louis, MO Think about whether there are any good spots for posters in these areas, and if you are interested in helping, please don't hesitate to email me at theactiondesign@yahoo.com -- if there are multiple people from one area, we'll sort that out. Yes, our merch supply online had dwindled down to a measly few tee shirts, but now it's been replenished with NEW STUFFFFFF!!  All kindsa new stuff, actually! Yesterday I posted up all of the following: coffee mugs, baby clothes, posters, white v-neck tees, striped girlie tees, joggers, matchbox magnets, buttons, bandanas... the only thing we don't have which should be in in a few days is new stickers, 3" round ones. So if you wanna wait to order until the stickers are up, please do! It should be really soon. Check it out!
