There have been 2 venue changes for the upcoming December shows...

Dec. 4th will now take place @ Tribute in Sandnes, Norway (instead of Luftslottet in Grimstad - where we were scheduled to support DIO).

And the Dec. 12 Berlin (Postbahnhof) show has been moved to Huxley's Neue Welt.

The Bloodstock team are pleased to announce that German metallers DORO have been added to the bill for Bloodstock Open Air 2010.

Fronted by former Warlock singer Doro Pesch, Doro the band have been the vehicle for the talents of this female vocal legend since Warlock’s demise following their 1987 album Triumph and Agony. Her first release as Doro – 1989’s Force Majeure - bore much of the signature Warlock sound and although the band have varied their style over the years and undergone numerous line-up changes, melodic heavy metal remains at their core.

As one of the few prominent female metal singers of the 1980s, Doro’s early career was extremely influential, and many female metal vocalists of later decades have cited her example as encouraging them to enter what is still a male-dominated scene. Her extensive discography is diverse and she has often collaborated with other writers and producers. 1990’s self-titled Doro album was produced by KISS bassist Gene Simmons and on 2000’s Calling the Wild, she duets with Motorhead mainman Lemmy on the ballad Alone Again. She also performed on the 2008 track The Seer with ex-Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen who joined a host of metal luminaries including members of the Scorpions, Nevermore and Overkill at Doro’s 25th Anniversary concert in December 2008.

Doro’s latest album Fear No Evil, released earlier this year, is a typically feisty collection of metal anthems from one of the genre’s true survivors.

DORO will be appearing live at LIVE MUSIC HALL in Cologne tomorrow Oct. 10 with Special Guests Cripper and Holy Moses!

Tickets are 25 EUR and available at the box office.

We are extremely sorry for the late word on this but the 2 shows in Arizona must be postponed until a later date.  We tried our best to make it work but Doro has an emergency meeting in NY which could not be changed due to it's nature.

Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

We will make these shows up at a later date and hopefully include additional shows in some of the cities we were unable to reach on this leg.

We are pleased to announce that the first show of the upcoming North American Tour will now be Philadelphia!!!

Just added...Sept. 4, 2009 @ Whiskey Tango in NE Philly.

As many of you know, our own Nick Douglas & Johnny Dee both hail from the Phila./S. Jersey area and are looking forward to once again ROCKING their hometown!!!!

Special guests will be some of our bros, Fosterchild!  A hard-rockin (and hard workin) Philly band who know how to put on a show.

We hope to see all of you there...and let's kick this Labor Day weekend off right!!!

On June 16, DORO and band performed in Bonn, Germany supporting Gods Of Metal, HEAVEN & HELL. German Television station WDR was there to capture the event for their long-running show Rockpalast. The whole show will air late Sunday night (Monday AM) July 12th (into 13th). Times are as follows:

Every nation in the world has its own hymn and now one of the biggest metal festivals gets its own one as well. This year the Wacken Open Air celebrates its 20th anniversary and therefore a new song called “We Are The Metalheads” has been written exclusively for the festival.

DORO will sing the new song which was written and produced by Olaf Stern (SternEntertainmentProductions). “The lyrics and the music of the song really reflect the ideas and the life of Heavy Metal Fans. Heavy Metal means more than just listening to music – Heavy Metal means to be free and it is about true feelings and values,” says Stern.

Wacken Boss Holger Hübner adds: “DORO will sing the new song live on July 31 in Wacken. She will perform it with Skyline, the band my partner Thomas Jensen was in a couple of years ago. They will reunite for this special and unique show. DORO really is the best person to sing the song as she embodies everything the song is about. She is a great singer and her voice will give the new hymn a unique touch. The Fans will surely get shivers up and down their spine.”

DORO is honored to sing the song. “It is a great song. I hope the Fans will love it as much as I do. I can't wait to play it live for the Fans at the Wacken Open Air.”

Those of you who didn't get a ticket for the festival (it is sold out since December 2008) will have a few more chances to check it out... DORO will play live at the Wacken Rocks Festivals in Aurich and Rieden/Kreuth, Germany in August where she will perform the new song “We Are The Metalheads” as well.
