I have just uploaded the new Like Black Horses remix of "Tim Burton" by north east band Farewell Singapore.

This is a band I have been friends with and had a lot of respect for for many years. They are definitely worth a look and the original version of the song is truely amazing.

I'm sitting in the uni computer suite, pretending to be doing work but the lure of myspace is too great!

It has been a month since the EP came out, if you havnt got it by now, you know what to do! The response has been good, "Secrecy" getting a play on the Best Of Myspace Podcast and "Never Forgotten" getting radioplay on an English station.

You may have had a listen to the new song - Flashed Before My Eyes. If not, I hope you like it! Its definitely the shape of things to come, and I have started writing another EP (keen much?) which may develop into an LP.

I really want to get this one replicated properly when its finished... there's something about holding a CD in your hands that you just dont get with a download. As far as artwork goes, I have some ideas that I would love to share with anyone interested in being part of the EP. This would need to be free as I will be releasing it completely free, so if there are any arty farty people out there with some time on their hands, dont hesitate to get in touch!

Feedback on the new song would be great :)

Well, the leaves are brown, the wind is stronger, and the days are darker.

I am pleased to tell you that the second EP, By Night We Dance, is out now on Planet Terror Records. You can download it either from my page (by clicking the front cover) or through Planet Terror at www.myspace.com/planetterrorrecords. A lot of time and love was put into making this EP over the first half of the year so I really hope you enjoy it. Thanks once more to Polly Balitro who did my artwork for me. I am still in awe of that photograph!

I am currently working hard at a nightclub in Aberdeen, trying to earn some money for the following year of Uni. Its freshers week here so for the past few days, I have been working like a steam train!

Best Of Myspace UK approached me and asked for a song to put in their latest podcast, so I sent them Secrecy, I hope this was the correct decision?

I think I'm pretty terrible at writing blogs, cause I never complain about anything. Perhaps I just like to complain outwith blogs and save all my lovin for myspace? Haha I dont know.

Update time people!

Like Black Horses is now officially on Planet Terror records! The "By Night, We Dance" EP will be out around the end of August/early september.

This, as you can imagine, makes me a very happy chappy, and I have also been featured on their new compilation..  you can click the image to download it, the other tunes on it are ace so even if you think I'm a waster then check them out!



Summers going great for me so far, just got back from Barcelona and a week of raving in the sun, and T in the Park is on this weekend! If anyone else is going to T then I will probably be stumbling around the Red section of the campsite (maybe Red 9 or 10) so if you see a very drunk person with curly hair, come and say hey and I will give you a bit of vodka :P

Here's the artwork for the forthcoming EP - "By Night, We Dance"
It was made by Polly Balitro and you can see more of her work HERE. I think you'll agree, shes very talented.

She gave me a brief account of how it was made, here's what she had to say-

"I took a polaroid of the original photo and I have done an emulsion lift of it on an old piece of paper I have collected in one of my metal boxes. this means that, just like all of my other works, this art work for your ep is totally analogic! the only digital part was the scanning of the artwork itself I had to do to send it to you. the colours of my polaroid 669 are extremely blueish and cold, since the film was expired for a long time, so, when I did the emulsion lift on the old paper I was sure the the effect coming out would have been even more ghostly as I like."

I have decided to release an EP instead of an LP. The reason for this is simple, I want to keep developing my sound. An EP lets me focus my ideas far more than an LP would.

It is still called "By Night We Dance" and the track list is as follows:

1. Hawthorn and Hazelsnatchers
2. Parachutes
3. Secrecy
4. Unglingur
5. Never Forgotten

Its been a hot few days, I've been trying to enjoy it as much as possible. I just got hold of some early Eluvium tracks, and so have had them on in the sunshine; HEAVEN.

I hope the weathers good elsewhere, if not, I'm sure it will get better soon.

I've been thinking about people, isn't it weird how people dont give a hoot about anything until it affects them? I guess we can't care about absolutely everything, but shouldn't we take a slight interest in things that don't directly impact our life? HMMM
